This cost $9.00. Canโt go wrong with Indomie and fried chicken. Sambal is super spicy ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ so eat with caution. Delicious!
Came here on a weekday night for a quick dinner and was pleasantly surprised to chance upon this joint packed with both locals and (more importantly) Vietnamese folks eating here. They have an extensive menu beyond the regular Pho Bo (though thatโs what I had) including even stuff that you usually only find in Vietnam including Vietnamese hotpot. Highly recommend if youโre craving some Viet food in the city and donโt want to drive all the way to Joo Chiat for your fix ๐
For so many years there has only been one beef noodle stall here with a grumpy auntie & an arbitrary charging system. This is a welcome change and competition is always healthy! #powertothepeople
Noodles were modestly portioned but taste was yummy! Loved the extra salted veg toppings. Sorry for the messy pic I started eating before I remembered to take a picture!
Had lunch here with colleagues and we ordered a variety of fried chicken and craft beers. The clear winner was the Lebanese style fried chicken (pictured below). I can imagine this would also be a good place for dinner and drinks!
Best duck noodles ever! Drumstick meat simply fell apart and the soup broth was super umami which balanced nicely w the bean sprouts, cabbage and Chinese celery. I think this might be BKK's answer to Vietnamese Chicken Pho and it's a tough fight! ๐๐๐ #burpple #burpplebkk
This is the Housen #yakiniku set meant for 2 pax. If you haven't explored the new Japan Food Town at Wisma I would highly recommend that you do! #burpple
Had the set menu for two ($188) which paired wonderfully with their house Muscadet, a crisp and delicious white wine. Each dish was fresh and prepared simply but in a way which brought out the seafood's original flavor. My highlights were the oysters which we added on ala carte (and I don't normally eat oysters), the grilled baby squid, the piquant vermicelli, the scallop and the Arctic surf clams in shallot oil. Head to Nekkid (their cocktail bar) for delicious cocktails after dinner! Yum yum yum!

We ordered the Prawns in Garlic & Chilli Oil ($12), Grilled Octopus ($12, pictured), Seafood Paella small ($10) and French Fin de Claire Oysters ($3.50 each x 4) and a few glasses of wine ($11 per glass). Prices are reasonable and I would applaud them for their effort given the competitive F&B market. Oysters were fresh and yummy. Octopus was slightly overlooked but they had the charred taste right. it would have been better if they had used large sea prawns instead of the regular tiny ones in their dishes. Taste was okay in the overall. 6.5-7 /10.
What's unique about this is the signature green sauce made up of 7 different types of herbs/veggies. #burrple

I wonder why we don't have anything like this in SG? #burrple
