π This delicious burger ($7+, U.P. $14+) consists of perfectly toasted handmade sesame bun, very thick and juicy beef patty, melted cheddar, 2 slices of crispy bacon, gooey sunny side up, complemented with greens, and one slice of tomato and cucumber. I really pay attention to my burger buns, and this one is so soft but crispy on the outside π Slathered with a special mix of mayonnaise, the bun is good enough on itself. It is a huge burger so I had to dissect it apart π Thoroughly enjoyed getting my hands dirty on this π
The cafe is quiet enough for work, with wi-fi provided. However, you need to pay for water and it is not refillable π With the discount, it's super worth it π Without discount, I'm eyeing for the set lunch for $9.90+ with mains, soup, dessert, and drinks next timeπ€ Okay I admit, and the lava cake as well.

Super friendly uncle cooks the congee right in front of you, vigorously stirring to give you a smooth congee with perfect consistency π It's rich and savory, keeping up your appetite until the very last scoop. Two thumbs up for their brilliant service ππ Last time we came here, we got burnt waffle, so as an apology Brotherbird invited us back again. Apparently at that time the waffle machine is faulty, and they have fixed everything now π
This 2nd round, we got S'mores Waffles with Goma soft serve($15) and their signature Mochi Doughnut with Houjicha soft serve($15). Waffle is so much better with crispy edges, but I prefer the Red Velvet variant in terms of topping. Marshmallow is a but too sweet for me, guilty as cream cheese addict π I find the mochi doughnut texture very interesting. Chewy mochi inside deep fried doughnut dough, topped with corn flakes and azuki red bean.
Loving the soft serve flavor this month π Both the roasted tea and black sesame flavor is well presented in the Houjicha and Goma. Do come while it's still available π Each soft serve comes in a huge heap, better to share the dessert with your loved one π They change the flavor frequently, like in every one or two months. Special for Christmas they will serve different flavor in each week of December π

I'm Kim is located conveniently close to our campus and very affordably priced for student's ($12.80++ for lunch). It has some trade off though, got so limited option π Well, at least the dish served are all delicious π Loving the japchae, marinated pork belly, marinated beef, and popcorn chicken π If you just want to binge eat without fretting about the vast choices, do give them a try π

We were going for matcha ice cream, but then this little buddy is begging us to eat him π The best part for me is the dense chocolate layer in the middle that tastes just like truffle. Very chocolatey with nice balance of sweetness π Looking at the cakes on display is sooo tempting... This past few weeks have been quite hectic with school stuffs so... yeah π Good food helps me think π It's quite a big slice, around the same size as Pezzo but the crust is slightly thinner. Generous amount of minced beef and cheese π Not the overly stringy type of cheese, but you will surely get a cheeseful bite every time. π Even around the edge, you can see specks of baked cheese.

See, the salmon sashimi @whatjeanneats ordered comes with avocado and a mountain of tobiko π I opted for salmon mentaiko with yuzu brown rice and loving it so much. Lots of nicely seared mentaiko drizzled over my rice and salmon π I can't stop digging for the rice which stickiness is just perfect. Though the yuzu was quite absent for me, that's not a problem for me. Mentaiko gives full flavor to the rice already π
I had so much fun and it's really nice to meet her. She's remarkably friendly and bubbly. Let's meet again some time! π

They offer both steamboat set and buffet, but I recommend getting the set unless you can eat extremely a lot π Beef set for 1 person ($8.80+) is filling enough to leave only a tiny space in my belly for the free flow ice cream. Yep. Free. Flow. Ice. Cream. π The buffet costs more than $20, so I think it's really hard to make it worth your penny compared to the sets (except if you get 50% discount from eatigo π) Definitely going back, probably for the porridge buffet ($8.80+) π
I love the soup (opted for imperial soup) so much I was basically drinking it π Similar to tonkotsu broth, but it's a bit lighter and comes with goji berry. Even though the beef is just regular lean meat, they're quite a lot. Chicken meatball, fishball, fish tofu, crabstick, enoki, cabbage, and a green veggie also included in the set π For the ice cream, durian and mango flavor are my favourite (chocomint one is weird though). Of course it's not the best ice cream, but it still tastes good and I can't resist a free ice cream π

Smoked Salmon Ikura Pasta (I think it's $16.80++, I never remember the price if my mom is paying π) from Dolce Tokyo. Their fusion of Japanese and Western cuisine is surely satisfying to our tastebud. Absolutely love the flavor burst when I get bites of ikura π With al dente pasta, creamy and cheesy sauce, and generous smokey salmon, I have nothing to complain about this dish.
If you're thinking, "Where's the ikura?" Well, I ordered the wrong thing, but the waitress was kind enough to change our order and give the ikura in a small bowl instead π

Each cut is well buttered and toasted so they are all crispy π Between the crust, generous speculaas cookie crumble gives a nice crunch and sweetness to each bite. My favorite part has to be the matcha ice cream and sauce. They have intense matcha taste like the matcha desserts I had in Japan during my holiday π I just love them so much I finished the dish myself when everyone else gave up already π Definitely a dish for sharing though, surely can't have it alone.

Featured in in this picture are (from the middle then clockwise from top right) duck noodle, lui cha a.k.a tea rice, prawn noodle, carrot cake, prata, and the infamous Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak.
Though this is my first time eating lui cha, it's my favorite from all those dishes π I find it nicely savoury and the greens still have a nice cruchy bite to it. Duck noodle is also very good, especially the sauce which is not bland like others that I've tried before π Ranked third in my opinion is the nasi lemak. The rice is full of rich coconut umami π
