π This Earl Grey Swiss Roll ($5.90) certainly has done her job very well. Prominent earl grey flavor in the fluffy cream without being bitter nor overly sweet. The sponge cake is soft and not dry. I'm not keen on swiss rolls but this one is quite nice π
Done a whole lot of things here so I say it's a very conducive place for work and study π They have wifi and free flow of infused water. Didn't spot any power plugs though. They have a very cozy and quiet atmosphere.

Then I just realized that they give extra unagi sauce for pouring on every table π A bit of a let down for me since I heard that they have the best unagi π I haven't tried the Keong Saik one though, so I'm not sure if my teeny tiny bit of disappointment is due to the lack of sauce, or they do have poorer quality (or maybe Man Man is just not my preference). Bright side the queue is very short π Only waited for 5 mins or so before I get a seat.

This is our favorite food β€ I've been fed with hordes of crab since I was still in her tummy I guess π First time trying Ginger and Spring Onion Crab ($68++), and we're very pleased with it (Chili Crab and Black Pepper also very delicious π). The ginger taste is not too strong but very fragrant. TungLok never fails to satisfy me with their incredibly plump and meaty crab. The flesh is sweet, nicely complemented with the sauce. So far, chili crab still has most of my love because nothing just beats mopping up all the goodness with fried mantous($0.80++ each) π
They charge for snack and towel so be sure to return them if you don't want the extra fees.
P.S. Can't eat this often because it's quite expensive and I have nobody to share the crab π Anybody knows where to find good crabs at more affordable price? Anybody wants to eat crab with me? π

It's not crispy, not fluffy, not red-velvety, yet it comes with burnt parts instead π΅ The earl grey soft serve was watery, and melts faster than the time we took to take pictures π At least the earl grey taste is prominent and the cream cheese is tasty though π
Meeting up today with @tastytested π I'm so glad to meet her, she's incredibly fun and friendly. Despite the somewhat horrible food, it was definitely a memorable errand (in a good way π). Good company makes every food better I guess π

No regrets though π QQ noodles coated in addictive char siew sauce. Wanton even better than the ones from the ubiquitous wanton stall. The skin is not as thin, but they do have more filling and richer in taste. Sadly the char siew doesn't par with the rest, being so rubbery I can't chew most of it π Probably I will go for the actual duck noodle or a wanton soup next time π

I think I have just found myself a perfect place to study! Lots of pastries to satisfy my study-hunger strike, wifi available under CapitaLand, powerplugs, and free flow of water π And... seats next to Raffles City fountain is available, so I can watch the water shoots up then collides back to the ground π Quite calming and a good refreshment. My only problem is I feel a bit cold there, but a jacket will do.

This Black Sesame Cake ($9+) from Nesuto is just perfect π I love how the sesame really is the star of the dish. Moist sponge cake with spot on ratio to the sesame cream that is nutty and not overpoweringly sweet, plus you get a bonus of buttery sprinkle of crumbles on top. My only complain would be it's too delicious I can't stop eating it π
Judging by the hype of Nesuto reviews (and how they stay true to them), it will be crowd-packed in no time π Better come before it's hard to get in. Arrays of artisan cakes to choose from. Pretty interior with pastel colors, very cozy. Sadly there is no wifi, powerplug, or free flow water. Fortunately I was only studying with my good old text book so I survived through the internet crisis π

A bit too small maybe π I'm not a fan of the sponge cake because it's a bit dry and tastes kinda like chemical π΅ Fortunately, the mousse saves the day, being very creamy and full of tiny gritty hazelnut π They seem to freeze the cakes and thaw them upon order since the middle part is still a bit frozen (yay ice cream π) Interior is quite nice but maybe the floor needs a bit of repairing. They are not packed with crowd and relatively quiet so can be conduciveΒ for working, studying, or reading a book π€ No wifi, no power plug, no water.
