This is easily the best Ipoh Hor Fun I've had in my life! Something different about this is that they used herbal broth as their gravy! Thin slurpy hor fun alongside with fried fish dumpling - crispy yet packed with loads of meat and chestnut in it! This actually brought me memories to when I've got my first full-time job! I was previously a contract staff and got converted to a permanent staff. The queue was long and we only had 30mins left into my lunch to finish up our food and get our butt back to work! Right now at my 3rd job, I'm nearer to Amoy Food Market but I've been busier here as it's the renewal season now. Which dish was eaten when you got your first job? ☺️ #hawkerpedia

β€’$24β€’ Living up to its name of Monster. This was presented us on our dining table for just 2pax and it was H-U-G-E! Consists of omelette, cheese, tori karaage, fried ebi and rice of course. There are options for you to add in other ingredients such as sausages etc too. The Monster Combo was easily able to feed up to 3pax! The curry was tasty though and to my understanding with my Japanese colleagues, Japanese don't really take spicy foods, but this was catered to the locals, where they've spice level for you to take on. β€’$5.60β€’ Working at CBD can be a real headache sometimes but the only reason why I'm happy working at CBD area is that I'm close to hearty food like this! *sorry picture doesn't do any justice to this, I was so famished so I quickly snapped a pic hehe* If we know each other personally or you're my follower or have went through my albums, I'm a beef & egg lover, who else is one? πŸ™‹πŸ» It was said that this stall was previously at Singapore Polytechnic. Their black pepper sauce is derived from grinding black peppercorns by themselves! And their beef was really good and tender. Not a beef lover or rice? Don't fret. They offer other choices of meat - chicken or pork and they've Hor Fun! I will try that soon to see if it's comparable to Good Day's beef hor fun. Stay tuned πŸ™‚

They've recently revamped and changed their Signature board to Fu Lin Bar & Kitchen. They're selling Yong Tao Fu in the day and transform into a bar at night! Choosing a minimum of 6 ingredients for it (dry/soup) is always the hardest thing to do! What makes them special is that their Dry Yong Tao Fu is drizzled with minced meat and mushroom sauce over the thick beehoon and also for the lightly deep fried ingredients that you choose. Hop over to the hawker stall beside it for the famous peanut pancake too if you've stomach space for it 😜

Searching for cheaper options of coffee other than your usual Coffee Bean, Starbucks? Drop by Coffee Break, 2nd Floor of Amoy Food Centre. It is run by a Brother & Sister duo and have appeared on news for the past few years. They've different range of coffees/teas such as Red Tea, Latte, Mocha etc. They serve traditional drinks as well. I kind of like their sea salt caramel latte & melon red tea 😊 Do give them a try as it is something new that you wouldn't find at hawker centres #hawkerpedia

Whenever we go over to my godparent's place, we will stop by Bukit Timah Food Market for either breakfast or dinner. Never fail to order carrot cake from He Zhong and it's still my favourite ever since! Fluffy carrot cake stir fried along with cai poh till fragrant, alongside with the crispy egg and chili. To add on, it is not even oily! Perfect for the hungry soul ☺️ #hawkerpedia

Lunch time with my colleagues & boss! Ordered hor fun rather than the normal wanton noodles. Noodles are soft but not clumpy. Oops! The main highlight was the soya sauce chicken which was quickly devoured before I could take any picture! The chicken was tender and full of flavor! Wanton soup that we ordered wasn't salty and the wanton was packed with fillings. So yums I'm craving for it again. Maybe rice the next round! πŸ˜‹

Sawadeekaa! Affordable Thai food nearby my vicinity! So much food ordered but it was just $37 bucks! 😍 mega love the stirred fried beef with basil leaves ($8) and also the pineapple fried rice ($6). The punch of spice was worth it!

Wanted to have Chir Chir where apparently their queue was super duper long therefore settled for Choo Choo Chicken which had shorter queue. Order was fast and the food came relatively quick as well. Ordered soy sauce chicken wings and spicy chicken drumlets! They provide finger plastic gloves for you so that you won't have to dirty them. Chickens were crispy and tender and full of meat! Didn't got to try the highly raved kimchi rice burger but will definitely visit it again for it!

Cold noodles in spicy sauce! I've never tried cold noodles and this came as a surprise to me. There's a slice of pear in the dish! Noodles were springy and thin. Warning: do not gather too much noodles and eat, you'll choke cuz it is too springy!
