Not sure why but there was this odd medicinal aftertaste that was so bad I couldn't bear to drink it any further after 3 sips. Furthermore I was told prior to ordering that this batch was just freshly brewed that afternoon. Sigh! 😣
At $9.80 nett, the portion is rather generous! The special sauce that coated these breast meat strips tasted like a mix of garlic and sweet chilli, and was so good I wish they served extra on the side for more dipping!
Always found the pastries here to be delightful and this one is no exception. The curd was softer and the crust more brittle than usual (and maybe that's because it came just fresh out from the kitchen and didn't have time to "set"), but together they tasted great anyway! I personally also think that anything with yuzu is bound to please!
Thanks to someone else's post on burpple, I learnt that we could call to "reserve" in advance so there was no agonizing wait! The generosity and variety of ingredients made this $15 portion well worth the money, and though this was probably meant to feed 3 people, my boyfriend and I had no issue polishing off the entire pot by ourselves. I was especially hooked on those plump juicy clams and tasty strips of roasted pork belly. I'd definitely have this again the next time I happen to be in toa payoh!
At $21 for 200g and no added gst/service charge, this is definitely value for money! Especially loved the truffled mustard that went brilliantly well with the steak.
I must have gotten my expectations too high after reading so many positive reviews on this dish. While it is undeniably decent, it's not exactly something I would come back for again.
Could probably do with a teeny wee bit more salt, but I enjoyed this anyway. It was bursting with the earthy taste of mushrooms and I liked how the pasta was cooked slightly past al dente.
We ordered 2 sets of fried chicken in Spicy and Garlic Soy flavors to share among 5 of us, and the portion was so huge we were feeling really stuffed by the time we were done. Can't really decide which flavor I like more between the 2, they were both delicious in their own ways. Also highly recommend the Mango Salad (not pictured) to refresh your palate in between chicken pieces!
A very light chocolate cake that is made up of more sponge than cream. Thankfully the sponge cake was moist and airy, kinda like a chiffon. I also tasted bananas, which was unexpected. Overall not bad but I definitely like my chocolate cakes richer, denser and more decadent.
This dish which is romantically named Boston Love Boat on the menu doesn't appear quite impressive in this photo, but I assure you it tastes much better than it looks! The puff pastry is intact when served, and cutting through it unveils an array of seafood such as prawns, mussels and scallops, in generous portions. The tomato sauce that has accumulated at the base may verge on being too salty, but still it served as a delicious dip for the puff pastry and sweet potato fries!
We all know Arteastiq's forte lies in their range of specialty teas, so who would have guessed that the main courses here would prove to be just as delectable? Blanketed in a delicious sauce and perfectly complemented by a side of soft egg and some really-awesome sweet potato fries, this ribeye steak is one of the best I've had in a while!
