7-course @ $78++ with burpple 1-1.
Taste of quality fine dining at half the price but also with small sharing portions such as pre-snack (2 pax to share 4 sticks, sorry peeps I forgot the name of this dish) as well as satay (1 stick each)

Creme brulee was consider the star of the show with the creamy presence of foie gras yet not overpowering the palate.

Char siew consists of beef ribs & crispy kale was a hit too but wish there were more meat to fat ratio as it gets more chewy as we try to finish it in the end.

Before main course, there was a palate cleanser which came as a nice touch. While the main course is a wagyu mbs7-8 tri-tip with pumpkin. Good sear to the medium rare wagyu but again, 5 thin slice.

Go for burpple 1-1 if you have no idea what to eat but just want to try a variety of dish. Otherwise, they do have mains set meal which I believe is much more worth it. Wouldn't be back with burpple 1-1 but for the mains set, probably yes if my tummy craves. Do make reservations before you go as the place is small, pack within sugarhaus and you might have to wait awhile unless you are willing to take outdoor seats

Available theme on Friday/Saturday
Upon entry, just feast your eyes throughout the dining area and heaps of eye-catching Boston Lobsters facing you in the array.

But first up, the sake sashimi. Portion can make do with slightly thicker but nevertheless its good. Grab that first instead of lobsters and you will know why later.

Next, head for those succulent Boston Lobsters that you were eyeing right from the start. Most peeps are targeting the tail portion probably cause its already pry open and that's where most meats are. If you ate it blindly though, you are probably having the black stuff (intestinal tract albeit nothing wrong). I personally dig it out though and its not too difficult. They taste great and slightly chewier. But man I just prefer those pincers instead. Not hard shell, easy to twist and out pull those meats, smaller in size but its so much juicier and most people don't take it.

There are plenty of other options besides these 2 above briefly mentioning those that caught my tastebuds: oysters (probably Fin de Claire), roasted beef, fish w/ indian curries (its just too good to give this a miss), fried mantou w/ chilli crab gravy (those crab meats are tough inside though, not a fan), seafood thermidor, baked salmon, and the matcha ice cream and I make a twist with the chocolate fondue by having marshmallow dip in it and drizzle the chocolate over those matcha. After awhile, it hardens exactly like MacDonald chocolate cone. Didn't try the diy kueh pie tie (lazy), and rojak (lazy again).

At the value of 68++ /pax, its value for money. Book with chope or eatigo gets you 20% off!

We had 2 wagyu don and 1 chirashi don (S). The L size was really huge and fragrant but the S size was really small, more likely meant for small eater. Wagyu tasted good but I find chirashi don to be underwhelming. Using burpple, they only discounted on the cheaper chirashi. Should I know of this I would have asked the 3rd pax to self order the chirashi to save more. Otherwise, I do find chirashi don pricey as its really a small bowl. I could cover the whole bowl with my small palm. Without burpple beyond, doubt I would be back.

Iced black drink (pretty average)

Plain Ole Chocolate + Little White Rabbit

White rabbit: has that little nice addition of starch? Paper on it. Not too sweet, flavour wise reminds me of the past

Plain ole' choc: plain looking indeed but flavour has a very chocolatey finish. Rich and vibrant πŸ‘

Waffles: Given 2 slices of waffles each. Would be great if they have a lil more consistency on it. First place was good but not crispy. Second plate was equally good but every knife down was crispy, felt & taste so much better with those magnificent ice cream.

Overall, don't miss it if you are nearby, but if you do, they still have 2 other outlets although they started out with TPY

Iced black drink
Waffles w/:
Earl grey lavender + roasted pistachios

The usual star, been sick but nevertheless go for it since 1-1

Great pistachios for this time, the bites are much more prominent than the last and flavour wise is smooth

Earl grey lavender has a nice pleasant light aftertaste.

*I did mentioned the ones from Sunday folks are better but their price is on the higher ends ($9) compare to creamier ($3.10?)

So anytime of the day I would choose Creamier Earl Grey Lavender but when I'm feeling particularly luxurious and am in Holland V, I may go for Sunday Folks Earl Grey Lavender

Creamier will be missed dearly in Toa Payoh as my workplace is just 10mins walk from it haiz..

180g of angus beef patty stuffed w/ ohh la la cheese oozing out when you cut open, why say no?

Juicy and succulent, its a joy while consuming it. Fried ebi, tofu was great additions in the set too. Atlas triple cheese doesn't have much of the distinct flavour I hope to get when consuming mixture of cheeses but it didn't disappoint eating with the patty. Sauce was just meh, felt jelak/thick after a few mouthful.

Overall, with the salad buffet, its worth the bucks and the sweltering heat in the queue. Just be prepare to come out smelling like you just cook a heavy meal for yourself at home (without requiring to wash)

Baked Eggs - Portion was small but flavourful!

French Toast - Cloyingly sweet. Not a fan of this dish.

Chance upon this new shop for lunch and immediately jio-ed colleague to try out.

From top to bottom:
Thai fried bee hoon ($6), SF Tomyum Nam Sai Clear ($6), White rice ($1)

Fried bee hoon was moist yet not overly wet/soggy. Taste great 8.5/10, Portion was good for the price as well.

Tomyum soup had only 1 pc prawn, 1 pc fish, 2 pcs squid and came sour with slight spice to it. Was good too but kind of dismay at the amount of ingredients in it. If they were slightly more generous with the ingredients or bigger portion, then I would be back for the soup but....

White rice: Doesn't need explanation uhh... but its slightly too dry

Prices are nett without gst & svc charge. I would be back for the noodles portion but the soup is not worth it in my opinion

What is it?
Steak Sandwich with slice of cheese, onion typically found jam in it.

Portion size: Considerable big

Cost: RM20

Taste factor: Salty, every mouthful is salty. In fact I do find the starch taste much better as it has a clean and crispy bite to it.

Can't rate it, albeit the price is reasonable and portion is big, taste wise is below mark (its their recommended dish somemore) with redemption only via those starch.

I tried their hot and cold coffee too and it's nothing to shout about so I won't post it.

Reviews were given to teas & cakes though so I guess this place is more for tea break
