This Brie and Roasted Mushroom croissant is the BOMB 💣 It is so full of flavour. Rather than bunging the ingredients in the croissant and hoping they taste good, you can tell they have taken time to work out what garnishes will bring out the flavours. One of the best “sandwiches” I’ve had in Singapore and such a shame I won’t be around that area all that much in the future. I’m going to take full advantage until then so expect to see more TBB!

I said I’d go with intending not to get one myself...but then...I realised I absolutely friggin love QQ Rice...so I got my usual. Purple rice filled with honey goose (fake meat), carrots, dou miou, seaweed and crunchy veggie floss. I love this place as it’s a great alternative to an on the go lunch which doesn’t involve bread.

I’ve never explored this area in the daylight, it’s usually a nighttime haunt with loads of cool rooftop bars and restaurants. I saw about @kafeutu through a friend’s feed last week, so today seemed the perfect opportunity to check out this unique African cafe! There was goat meat curry on the menu, neither of us fancied that...so I had their Quinoa and Chia Seed Pudding off their brunch menu. Chia seed pudding I usually find very bland and a bit too mushy, but with the addition of tricoloured quinoa it had a lot more bite and texture. It was accompanied by Greek yoghurt, seasonal fruit (caramelised banana, dragon fruit and blood orange), roasted almonds and drizzled with pure maple syrup! Washed down with an iced flat white.

This Saturday we ventured north and walked the Changi Boardwalk, then took a taxi to Pasir Ris for sunset at @georgesatthecove. We had been wanting to go back for food after discovering the place about a year ago, and finally we returned! We also could use our @entertainersg app once again, meaning we have nearly paid back the initial investment already. This fish and chips looked less impressive but was actually even better than last week’s! I mean...none will compare to a good British version with mushy peas, but it wasn’t half bad. We love the view from this place, we had a great seat, sea breeze and our server was super friendly and helpful. We will return again I’m sure.

This eco-responsible Farm and restaurant serves locally sourced produce wherever possible including vegetables and herbs from their garden. Where not possible, it is sustainably sourced with the least possible carbon footprint. We were going to have the 5 course taster set menu but I was seduced by their a la carte offerings...such as this cauliflower wings. Crunchy and tasty...but dare I say it not the best I have had....The setting is beautiful, I highly recommend checking it out especially whilst they have the safari tent out front in conjunction with @tiongbahrubakery.
