Pig Trotter (M size) $17
Xing Hua Fried Bee Hoon (M size) $12.80
Yang Zhou Fried Rice (M size) $11
Spinach w Superior Stock (M size) $14
Crispy Fried Yam (M size) $17
Sauteed Pork Rib (M size) $26
Standouts were the pig trotters and fried bee hoon - these passed the standards for any teochew restaurant. Fried rice and spinach were average. First time trying fried Yam so don't quite know what the standard is, but these had a nice crunch and a fluffy interior with a nice sweet glaze (which made it seem more like a dessert). Finally, the pork ribs were just disappointing for its outlandish price, and the fact that the waitress recommended us to add this to our order made it worse.
Overall, spent about $110 for 5 pax incl tea and sides - not too bad but not that satisfying a meal either in terms of quality.
Lunch set C@$10.50
Comes with 2 Har Cheong gai chicken and a chrysanthemum tea.
The Mee sua quite bland, but the chilli they provided is so flavourful.
Har cheong gai very good and crispy.
It had all the necessary parts and the beehoon, usually the deal-breaker, was fine. The only problem was the supposedly crispy seaweed was inedible plastic.
$5.50
Portion quite small.
Goes well with the chilli provided.
Quite plain without it.
This is my must have item when I come here. The first time I ate this, it gave me the inspiration to do the same for my fried rice with fried seaweed and peanuts.
This item is a must have at this restaurant!!
The small portion isn’t enough for most people so get the medium 😂
I always love this item, the veggies are nice and tender with the right amount of crunch not overly cooked. It is a small restaurant so it’s only known by those who know of it. It’s a hidden gem, value for money place with home style cooking.
