($6.90) I felt that matcha w/o milk was really strong bitter taste if you felt bloated or oily afer lunch to drink.

finally trying this super popular place for their warabi mochi. ordered the matcha drink with the jelly and while i agree that the mochi is very soft, i felt that the overall drink was a lil sweet for me

Est.since 1991, this popular warabimochi has opened its first outpost in Singapore in April (for this cuppage plaza outlet that we decide to try). We queued here about <15 mins on weekday (not too bad, eh?😃) We ordered box of 5 warabimochi only (No desserts or drinks). They gave us a pair of chopsticks and bamboo pick along with kuromitsu syrup made from pure 100% brown sugar from Okinawa.
Biting the first piece and we both agree this is no ordinary one. It's light, fresh and bouncy (not chewy or stiff like other commercial ones). The roasted kinako soybean powder are plenty and coat the whole warabimochi nicely. We will let you decide when you try. It's definitely in a must try snack list for us! 💯

Finally got around to queue for this as there was always a long snaking line whenever I passed by. Hype is still present for this! Although the line looked long, it moved pretty quickly so just stay strong and scroll Tiktok for abit :)

We got the Box of 5 ($7.90) as well as the Asakawa-en Matcha ($5.90 for small). The warabimochi was perfect - soft, starchy, chewy, sizeable, and generously coated with kinako powder. Exactly as how I had it in Japan previously. Drizzle the kuromitsu syrup and it was all the more better. The Matcha drink was good too but I thought there was too much chipped cream making it too sweet, and the warabimochi in the drink felt more like chinchow to me HAHA
