* This place has closed :( Please try somewhere else. * Village Nasi Lemak Bar offers local street tapas. A hipster eatery that sells good ol' nasi lemak with a twist, we have more to offer other than fashionable packaging. Our signatures include sambal sotong served whole, as well as lamb and beef rendang. For an mouth-watering plate of coconut rice served with a side of truffle poached egg, here's a place to go.

From the Burpple community

A decent place for Nasi Lemak. I enjoyed the sweet & fiery chilli that was great with rice, and the crunchy topping was good as well. The beef rendang however, was extremely tough, so skip that and go for the chicken instead, which fared much better.

Perfect local meal. Cheap and best
Great decor, very friendly staff. Smokers friendly with some outdoor seating.

Coconut rice with sides $6
Meat curry $6
Chicken $4

Quick and cheap. 5 stars

Drop by this Asian tapas bar for glammed up nasi lemak with your colleagues on Circular Road. Order a couple of their sides to share (get them 1-for-1 with #BurppleBeyond) like the Spicy Sambal Sotong ($7.00) or their Rendang Beef ($6.80). All this to pair with the Signature Nasi Lemak ($7.80) which comes with a truffle poached egg, crisp and juicy wing as well as soft pearly grains that pair well with their sweet homemade sambal.

Savory and tender beef rendang, fragrant coconut rice, with a side of onsen egg... SEDAP!

This place looks like a hip bar but still has a casual vibe. I used Burpple Beyond and staff explained helpfully that the cheapest item was free. Limited to ala carte menu. We enjoyed the food. The rice was nice and fried condiments were crunchy. Bar seats and we got there just before the crowd.

Got nasi lemak rice at $3.80 and beef redang $6.80, x 2 with Burpple beyond 1for1. Everything tastes sweet, from the chilli, rice, ikan bilis to even the redang. Hardly any spiciness. Good for those who likes sweet stuff, not for us. Won't visit again.
