Comforting and hearty dinner Solid satisfying dinner with nice and cosy setting. Porridge was comforting and food was tasty. Had the salted egg pork ribs, which was tender and flavourful! Claypot brinjal, with that wokhei infused into the dish, crispy Teochew prawn rolls, fluffy minced pork omelette, but the star dish was the Deep Fried Pomfret with Black Bean Sauce- well fried, and fins so crispy like crackers. Not too salty as well. We will be back!

Taiwanese Porridge in SG! Went for a lovely dinner date here, ordered the qing long cai, cereal prawn and hotplate tofu, love the powerful flavour of the food there and not to mention everything is well seasoned, will definitely go back!

Wasn’t allowed to use any Burpple redemption at this stall! Young lady cashier claimed to have no knowledge of Burpple. She tried calling a manager but to no response whatsoever. I ended up, not redeeming anything at the stall.

Mango sticky rice 7nett Mango wasnt particularly good, its not the super sweet variety. Glutinuous Rice isnt sticky enough Average

Grilled Pork Jowl 15nett Not very worth it, tiny portion for 15bucks. It's not particularly good either, the marinade wasnt strong and it's a meaty fatty texture compared to the bouncy texture you expect from pork Jowl. Could have been more crispy too

Great fuss free prawn mee Ngoh hiang was average, but enjoyed the umami broth despite it was a bit salty after many sips. I really liked the dry noodles and their chilli!

Heartwarming Prawn Noodle Soup Amazing experience at Zhup Zhup by One Prawn & Co! The prawn broth was rich and flavourful, and they even offered me a free refill of the soup. The noodles were tasty and satisfying, and the tasting plate for the sides was perfect to try a bit of everything. One thing I thought was really good is that the ingredients are separate from the noodles - so we can get two bowls of soup! Great service and delicious food — highly recommend!

Signature Noodle | $5.50 One of my top few places for chilli ban mian - though the default noodle here seems to be u mian. Nonetheless the texture of the noodles were great, soft yet with a nice chew. Loved the concoction that added up to the sauce, which, cloyed amazingly well with the noodles. And the chicken cutlet was only a top up of $2.50! What a steal. Rate:🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Dry chilli noodles! Hong Lim Hawker is one of my favourite to-go hawker, as they have so many nice food here! (But also, most of the popular food stalls have extremely long queues on both weekdays and Saturdays)! Always making it a point to try something new each time I am here! This trip, we tried the noodles from The Noodle Memories (Unit 02-27)! Got the specialty dry chilli noodle ($5.50) at xiao la chilli level. It comes with you mian noodles, black fungus, poached egg, minced meat sauce and a crispy taukee! Their noodles are made fresh on-site! Their xiao la chilli spice level is also quite spicy already, so be careful if you cant take spice well! m

Chili pan mee(menu optionC) 5.5nett Chili was very unique and flavourful, at the same time extremely well seasoned w sharp saltiness. Everything else was of good quality and after mixing, even small spicy was spicy enough, with sufficient umami coming thru the dark sauce. Even the soup was a good fishball broth. They are quite unique so it's hard to compare, but the quality is worth the rave Here the fried stuff is changed to fishcake which had a good bite

Milk Cabbage They have some non-fish dishes to complete your meal. Same garlicky flavour haha.

Grouper Variety of cheap steamed fish. This had too many bones for me, but I appreciate they sliced the fish open. Nice garlicky flavour.

Steamed Seabass & Prawn While some places half their seabass head and tail, the ones here were halved sideways along the backbone where you get both the head to tail on one side. The sea bass was moist and delicate, with soft textured flesh. The sea bass retains the best natural taste of the fish, seasoned with soy sauce dressing and minced garlic. It taste simple and incredible. Prawns were seasoned and steamed Hong Kong style with light soy sauce and minced garlic. The prawns were fresh and sweet, accompanied with garlic fragrance and sauce that pairs well with rice. Seabass 》$8 Prawns 》$8

A nostalgic bowl of YTF! Not sure if there are people like me who enjoy an old school traditional Kopitiam experience, but if you do, this place has the vibes and food that is like that. From the seemingly rude aunty and uncle shouting to the slamming of plates and bowls in front of you, I actually dig into such vibes 😂 Wait till you try their food. Their Yong Tau Foo ($5) is up to the owner to decide which ingredients to give you, and each of them was bursting with a nostalgic taste. It's not like it's so good that you need to come from the far end to try, but each ingredient is handmade with simple meat filling. To cater for the older crowd, they were not too salty and the soup was very comforting and hearty. Not the most flavourful, but definitely perfect for a rainy day. Now their ingredients come with a plate of dry noodles that were just simply seasoned with minced meat with some kind of flavoured oil. It has an al dente texture and is much better with their homemade chilli. It was not particularly spicy but flavourful. I feel like it is an experience to dine here, as it reminds you of the olden days where people probably ate the same bowl to get by their day. Such sentimental feelings were probably intensified by the look and feel of the shophouses nearby!

Roast Chicken & Roast Meat Rice I had good memories of this stall so I returned to make new memories. It's really an ordinary stall but there's something gritty about it.

Sliced Fish Horfun From Yang Ming Seafood Looks mild and decent. Impressive wok hey from the Horfun, generous amount of savoury sauce. Definitely will be back for it.

Decadent Zi Char Tender and juicy Andrew Boston Lobster, served on silky sheets of chee cheong fun with a finger-licking savoury sauce.

Ystd went back to @yangmingseafood . Now become family fav zi char place. This time we ordered Andrew Lobster. The thin smooth Chee Cheong fun sit beneath the fresh lobster. The gravy quite tasty (like hor fun gravy) with plenty garlic and spring onion. 💰$98 for 2 lobster.

Claypot Chicken rice The food here was good. I went with a friend and we enjoyed the meal overall. The standout for me was the claypot chicken rice, nicely smoky with tender chicken and some crispy bits of rice at the bottom that gave it a good texture. It came with a small shot of chicken broth, which I found interesting. It reminded me of chicken essence but with a deeper, more flavorful taste. Overall, a pleasant dining experience with dishes that were satisfying.

Curry Rice Pork chop, brinjal, lion's head, cabbage. Four items because we over-transferred and they gave one more. Lousier than I remember.

Wanton Noodles $5 (L) Of all the variations of wanton mee, I like the Thai version best. Huay Kwang is a very hidden gem a stone’s throw from Macpherson MRT, serving sublimely addictive Thai-style wanton mee. The heavenly aroma and rich mouthfeel of shallot and lard oil tossed noodles, coupled with tender char siew, freshly blanched greens, and plump boiled as well as fried wantons is a taste sensation that has us dining there at least twice a week. Their wanton soup deserves praise as well, prepared and served with large chunks of soft white radish that lend a natural sweetness to the broth. Taste: 4/5

Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee Ordered $5 portions for take away. Portions are big. You get 5 X halves of prawns. Bit of Sotong and pork belly. Not much of wok heat. Chilli is quite mild. Please note if you want lard, you must inform them when you order. Overall not bad but still far from the top ones in Singapore.

Fried Hokkien Mee Gotten a small plate of their fried hokkien mee, the taste was good especially with the chilli.

Mee Soto Another new entrance to Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand for this year. There’s already a queue when I came early morning on weekend, which would get even longer as the sun rise up. One of the highlights would be their mee soto that is so strong with the broth, and it could get spicy and addictive with the taste. Comes with sliced chicken pieces and yellow noodles. I recommend to add on a piece of potato cutlet to complete your meal.

Mee Rebus A very ordinary bowl of mee rebus insofar its ingredients and its look. But it's not ordinary, due to its gravy, which was a class above the rest.
