Possibly the least refined ramen in town, but quite satisfying, After Red and Black Kings, this time I tried Green Queen. With cheese and bacon, it’s a bit like pesto pasta with soup. If you’re afraid to mess up your white T-shirt and don’t mind looking a bit ridiculous, they would give you a bib.
Tonkatsu broth ramen. There wasn't a lot of options on the menu. Perhaps i ordered the non spicy version so there wasn't any sauce. I didn find anything special about the ramen.
Went to Ramen Nagi last week and ordered a Red King (chef recommended toppings) and added an egg!😇 Ramen was pretty okay for $20 and it was very filling😅 Overall ratings 7.5/10!🔥
🍡 Purple Sweet Potato Snowball Mochi
📍Xiao Gege Snowball Mochi (@xiaogegemochi)
📌 Chinatown
💰 $3.40
Ive seen taro mochi but I've never seen sweet potato being used as a mochi filling before :O this was pretty good, the mochi skin was soft, stretchy and chewy, and the amount of sweet potato cream was hella generous. It had that earthy taste that sweet potato has, which was interesting. Overall I still prefer other flavours for mochi but this was cool to try!

🍜 Green King Ramen
📍Ramen Nagi (@ramennagisingapore)
📌 ION Orchard
💰 $17.90++
I really wanted to get the red spicy ramen bowl because I love torturing myself with spice but unfortunately, I was dealing with a lot of pghlem and snot that day (yum yum) so in my best interest, I got the next most interesting item, the Green King Ramen.
This broth is made with basil and even comes with parmesan cheese and bacon, a truly unique fusion of flavours. The soup broth was rich and “fatty” with a liberal amount of oil and a nice umami flavour. The noodles were bouncy and chewy (you can customise the doneness of the noodles, btw). The chashu pieces left something to be desired as they were kinda dry and a little on the bland side.
The broth was definitely the outstanding part of this dish. However it’s really pricey (about $21 after taxes) and there are cheaper ramen spots with better chashu imo.

Affordable dining in Ion. Able to do customization of the noodle texture, soup base, spice level & toppings. Comes with a quite a big piece of chashu too.
