The only place which I would get my putien bee Hoon / lor mee / mee swa from.

Service is fast , food is fresh , non greasy and pieces are so affordable.

Noteworthy are their fried mackerel dish and homemade henghwa beancurd dish.

I knew this wasn't the local version, but I still ordered half-hoping it is haha. After all this is a Henghua stall with PRC owners. Although it looks gorgeous, it's quite flat. The taste was normal and the edible trotter was as much as the bones.

Back here again and we ordered a few new dishes to try - bee hoon, fried eggplant with floss and shrimp balls. The fried eggplant with floss was rly good!!

one of my family's favourite zi char places because it's so affordable and delicious!! We always order about 5 to 6 dishes and it'll cost about $40-50. Their sweet and sour pork is a must try!! It's perfectly crispy and not floury at all and tender inside :)) Their lor mee, stir fried yam, fried eggplant and veggies are good too

If you expect the Heng Hua Fried Beehoon 兴化炒米粉 to be more flavourful than it looks, well, you're completely wrong.

Might have been an off day, but this was the most bland-tasting, unsatisfying dish I've had in a long time. & this coming from someone who is used to eating healthier home-cooked food with less salt/oil/etc... You know it's gotta be pretty bland.

Wasn't impressed by how the clams were also quite sandy/gritty - which is a slight turn off for me, but I know is a HUGE turn off for some people.

Perhaps it was in part my fault for letting someone who eats like a mouse order my food. I inhaled this small portion ($4) in record time & it barely filled me up. In fact, if I ate 2 plates of this, I wouldn't even be half full.

But I wasn't about to order another plate, duh, because this was so unsatisfying.

I'm hoping the other dishes are much, much better... But with so many other good stalls to choose from at Alexandra Village Food Centre, I'm quite sure I won't be heading back to this one anytime soon.

The Heng Hwa in me is always on the look out for places serving Heng Hwa cuisine, and this is one of the stalls in my bucket list for ages; finally got to try it out and I am glad that I did.

Pu Tian Delights is tucked right at the corner of Alexandra Village Food Centre. The Heng Hwa Bee Hoon is probably one of the better iterations one can get in a hawker stall/food court setting (discounting the tzechar type of stalls that serves Heng Hwa cuisine). While the prawns and clams (hidden underneath) are pre-cooked and placed on the plate while they cook the beehoon, the clams didn't carry any disturbing sandy bits (my pet peeve) and the shrimp were surprisingly fresh and carries its own natural sweetness. The Bee Hoon was springy and flavourful; carries that slightly ricey flavours well with the slight saltish flavours of the seaweed complimenting well — the Bee Hoon not being too wet as well. It's overall quite a satisfying and generous portion for $3.50 — it may look plain, but it's also quite comforting and also pretty affordable considering pocket-friendly Heng Hwa cuisine in a hawker setting is still pretty much a hard find.
