Our usual dishes for 9 of us but sadly the standard dropped.
🤨
Worst dish was Fish Head Curry ($35 small). Super super oily & we hardly touched it though the fish head was actually quite fresh.
😒
Samba Sotong ($12 small) was another disappointment. So ‘slimey’ & tasted ‘unfresh’ yucks 🤢
Ngoh Hiang ($12 small) was slightly dry, Sautéed Scallop with Broccoli ($24 small) was slightly hard, Crabmeat Tofu ($12 small) was tasteless & Omelette ($12 small) was so-so. Nonya Cabbage Roll ($12 small) was nice & the tender chicken was the saving grace. A rather disappointing meal

Waitress is nice enough to serve me 1/4 roast chicken, 1/4 白斩鸡. All in $35 damage. #serangoongarden #chickenrice #burpple
We had a craving for Chinese cuisine, and his parents suggested this.
Famous for their Hainanese Chicken rice, we ordered half a chicken (S$14+). Chicken is tender but the rice is mild, would have been better if it's more flavourful.
Salad prawns (S$30) was decently good, but really expensive.
Fish maw soup (S$20) was sweet yet expensive, we prefer the starchy version.
All in all, I think this place is really quick in serving the dishes, but some food items are kinda expensive and not worth it. Plus, this place does get really rowdy.
Smooth and tender texture and well balanced favour in the seasoning.
The owners are hainanese and wanted to share with Singaporeans the true taste of “Hainanese Chicken Rice”. Here's a photo of ayam buah keluak. Read more: http://www.misstamchiak.com/pow-sing-restaurant/
