Yong Tau Foo at Pine Tree Cafe in Fortune Centre Level 2 🍽️
Walked around Fortune centre today to look for veggies that I have not tried before. Chanced upon Pine Tree, was recommended the Yong Tau Foo so decided to give it a go. 😬 Chose tofu, black fungus, veg fish, veg wanton and beancurd skin to be in my dish and took the Kway Teow (flat rice noodles) option to be cooked dry ✅ Final product was 😋 Black bean sauce was added with all my ingredients, simply 😍
This place is fully vegetarian with no alliums. Vegan options are available as well.
Conveniently located near Bugis MRT (EW12), around 10 minutes walk from the MRT station.
Highly recommended for shoppers and tourists around the bugis area 🥳
From Pine Tree Cafe
The sliced mock chicken rice with cooked cabbage & sliced beancurd was a tasty & satisfying dish.
The mock chicken had a nice texture and flavor, and the cabbage added a nice crunch & freshness to the dish.
Overall, a solid option for a quick & delicious meal.
One of the popular vegetarian restaurants in Fortune Centre, which many people would come here for their yong tau foo.
Many selection of items here available on the shelf to choose from, and you can go with the rice or noodle.
It comes with clear soup which is very comforting to enjoy the meal here. Must dip with their sauce provided as well.
Was deciding on a vegetarian spot in Fortune Centre and settled at Pine Tree Cafe. Was a tasty and affordably priced bowl that came with mushrooms, mock meat balls, a generous portion of vegetables and a bowl of flavourful herbal soup. Not too much a fan of the fiery chilli as it overpowered the other flavours, but the mee kia was done well with a good bite. Saw that they have ma la xiang guo, yong tau foo and abacus seeds. Will be back to try those next time!
And no I don't mean that it's all vegetables, this stall has minced soy stuffing in their ytf items just like the real thing (in which minced pork or fish paste is used). The soup is very much lighter and less salty, hence making this taste very clean. But I'd say the star of the show here is actually the dry noodles - the chewy U-mian tossed in the sweet and savoury sauce is yummilicious 😋
Fragrant, rich and tasty fried rice with olives. A dish to come back for.
