From Piccolo by Hei Kim at Far East Plaza.
The layered aftertaste of the iced mocha was impressive, with a perfect balance of rich chocolate and smooth coffee.
The chilled drink was refreshing and enjoyable, making it a great pick-me-up.
But what made the experience even better was the charming interior and people-watching opportunities - a lovely spot to relax and unwind.
Of course not forget the soft, caramelised honey cake is layered with honey-infused cream and wafer-like biscuits, except the crunch.

‼️FINDING HONEY CAKE 🍯 been looking for honey cakes since my trip to Perth✨found one at @piccoloheikim , even though it’s a different take from australia’s 🇦🇺 but it also hits the spot with an asian twist 👍 imagine kueh lapis but with condensed milk and honey 🤌💯

This cafe is a hidden gem as well💕located inside far east plaza selling their own house made cakes (which changes each time) with handwritten description! Though not displayed asthetically but there is a charm to it and very attractive (that banoffee 👀) will be back to try their other brunch items as well 🩷

While searching for cafes located within Far East Plaza for a cup of coffee, Piccolo by Hei Kim was one that popped up and I was lucky enough to catch them before their closing them.

Exuding a rustic vibe with concrete walls and flooring, accentuated with some retro-looking wooden chairs and marble tables, this new space by the folks behind the now-defunct Hei Kim has scaled down to serving only beverages and desserts. That being said, it is still worthwhile to give their coffee a try. The white served here came across pretty rich and robust, with smooth milkiness and a hint of nuttiness. I’d probably try the honey layered cake and a cup of black sesame latte the next time.

The black sesame flavour was ultra-rich and perfectly dense, beautifully complementing the latte below. It delivered a distinct taste of both black sesame and coffee, making it a memorable and flavourful drink.

A caramelised Biscoffti latte. It was a classic twist to my order, simple yet comforting. The blend of caramel and Biscoff flavours provided a delightful experience.
