Really enjoyed the food here! The prawn noodle soup was an umami bomb, the flavour was so rich! The hokkien mee was amazing as well, the noodles were super qq & the wokhei was rly shiok! Definitely worth a trip down to macpherson for this :)
Honestly one of the best prawn noodle soups I’ve ever had. The soup was packed with so much umami and sweetness — you can really taste how rich and well-cooked the broth was. It’s honestly so hard to find a good bowl of prawn noodle soup nowadays, but this one completely exceeded expectations.
The prawns were super fresh, juicy, and naturally sweet. Every bite was so satisfying and paired perfectly with the soup. The noodles were cooked perfectly too — not too soft, not too hard — and mixed so well with the sauce that every mouthful was flavourful.
We also ordered the ngoh hiang platter and every single item was so good. The cheese one especially was AMAZING. Crispy on the outside, cheesy and savoury on the inside — definitely a must order. Honestly, all the different pieces we ordered were delicious and complemented the meal so well.
Would 100% recommend this place if you’re craving a solid bowl of prawn noodles and good ngoh hiang. Definitely coming back again.
I’ve tried quite a number of prawn noodle spots across Singapore, and this place honestly stands out as one of the best I’ve had so far.
The soup was exceptional — rich, aromatic, and packed with deep umami flavour while still carrying a natural sweetness from the prawns. You can really tell the broth was simmered with care because every sip felt flavourful, comforting, and incredibly addictive. It’s honestly so hard to find a prawn noodle soup nowadays that delivers this kind of balance and depth.
The prawns themselves were super fresh, juicy, and naturally sweet. Every bite had that satisfying snap, and the sweetness from the prawns blended perfectly into the broth, making the whole bowl even more enjoyable.
The pork ribs were another highlight for me. They were incredibly tender and soft, almost falling apart effortlessly, and best of all, there was completely no porky taste. The meat absorbed the flavour of the broth beautifully and added such a comforting richness to the dish.
The noodles were cooked perfectly too — springy, smooth, and coated beautifully with the sauce and soup. Every mouthful was packed with flavour without feeling too heavy.
We also ordered the ngoh hiang platter, and honestly every single item was good. The cheese one especially was amazing — crispy on the outside with a rich, savoury cheesy filling that was so addictive. Each different piece we ordered had its own unique texture and flavour, and none of them disappointed.
Beyond the food, the overall experience made the place even better. The atmosphere felt lively and welcoming, making it a really enjoyable spot to sit down and have a comforting meal. Even though there was a queue, it was managed very efficiently and moved surprisingly fast. The service was excellent as well — the staff were friendly, attentive, and made the whole dining experience feel warm and pleasant. Despite the crowd, the food was served very quickly, which honestly impressed me.
Overall, this is definitely a place I would highly recommend to anyone craving a really solid bowl of prawn noodles in Singapore. From the quality of the food to the service and atmosphere, everything was extremely well done, and it’s somewhere I’d gladly come back to again.
The prawn broth is something else rich, naturally sweet, and clearly made with a lot of care. You can taste the depth in every sip.
We ordered a couple of claypot noodles and the tasting platter to share. Everything was solid but the broth is the real reason to come. The lala added a nice touch of brininess, and the ribs were tender and well-paired with the soup base.
Portions are generous, prices are reasonable, and the vibe is relaxed and comfortable.
If you love a good prawn noodle, this is one you don't want to miss. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back! 🍜
I came in with expectations and left completely floored. The star of the show here is undeniably the prawn broth rich, intensely sweet, and so deeply flavoured you can tell it's been coaxed over hours. It's the kind of broth that makes you pause mid-sip just to appreciate what you're eating.
I went with the Prawn & Lala Kway Teow Soup silky flat noodles swimming in that gorgeous amber broth, with fresh clams that added a lovely brininess to every bite. My partner had the Prawn & Ribs, which came in its own claypot, the pork falling apart beautifully against that punchy, prawn-forward base.
Soup came out steaming hot, just the way we liked it 👍🏻 very flavourful and the ngoh hiang was crispy and fresh 😋 good decision to come by!
