The sweet potato yam wheel cake came warm in its thin golden shell crisp at the edges and soft inside. The filling was generous with earthy sweet potato and creamy yam layered together. Found this gelato shop while walking around Sutera Mall, a place serving gelato, dessert and drink as well.

Nijyumaru is an authentic Japanese restaurant you can find in Sutera, which has another outlet at Permas Jaya.

If you come during the lunch time and prefer individual set, I would recommend this lunch bento that can you mix and match the items yourself.

There’s total of 16 items and you need choose 3 items from them to complete your bento. For mine, I chosen the chicken teppan, grilled eel and fried beancurd. The bento will complete with salad, rice and watermelon.

I enjoyed slurping up the chewy, flavourful flat rice noodles in the thick, herbal-infused soup.

And we also get a bowl of Beancurd Skin. Soaked in herbal sauce, it's a perfect complement to either the Special Sauce Rice or the Kway Teow Thng.

But let's talk about the mix of braised pork offal – pig intestine, braised egg, firm beancurd, pig skin, and some fatty meat. Each piece is cleaned properly, leaving behind no funny aftertaste. Surprisingly, the braised pork outshines the duck, offering a smooth texture and delightful taste.

We had their Signature Braised Duck, and it didn't disappoint. Whether you go for a whole duck or a half, the deep braising infuses every bite with herbal goodness. The meat, while tender and chewy, might have a hint of age in some parts, but it's the rich, flavourful sauce that boasts the overall. Without it, the duck might seem ordinary.
