Shaved ice topped with gula melaka, coconut milk, green rice jelly, kidney beans, and red beans. A cooling, sweet, coconutty treat that satisfies after a meal. The beans had a nice crunch and were not mushy. Sweetness was just right for me, though the ice melted a little too quickly. Still, that was fine since I could drink it like a cold soup.

Fragrant basmati rice served with spicy, savoury rendang beef, salty ikan bilis, crunchy roasted peanuts, and achar. The rice was nicely infused with premium spices, making it aromatic. The rendang beef had good texture, tender yet chewy, with fats that were easy to chew as well. Creamy and spicy, though it felt like something was missing, but overall still enjoyable.

Among all the pineapple ball samples I tried at the CNY bazaar, this was the one I liked most. You can really taste the freshness and fragrance. The egg wash flavour was prominent, and the overall taste leaned sweet with a hint of savouriness. The crumbly crust was a little thick, yet it melted easily in the mouth. Even picking up the ball required care, as a slight pinch could cause it to crumble right away. That is how soft the crust was.

The buttery crust, enhanced with milk and salt, added depth to the profile. With a burst of luscious pineapple jammy filling inside, these are dangerously addictive and hard to stop at just one.
