Discover the art of mixology by creating your own blend, and enjoy exciting in-store happenings from 6 September to 31 October! DFS Cocktail Festival 2019 will offer up complimentary tastings at Departure Terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4, from recipes curated by a variety of brands.

So one of the concoctions featured for the event is a bold, woody punch delivered by the Santa Teresa. Aged in bourbon oak barrels and subsequently through the artisanal Solera method, the tasting notes of the Santa Teresa 1796 were distinctly smoky and dark yet smooth.

Over the course of 8 weeks, luxury travel retailer DFS would be hosting their Cocktail Festival for the second time at Changi Airport! For those like me who were unaware, Changi offers not only duty-free alcohol for purchase but also complimentary tastings of some of the best and most exclusive liquors in the world. Hence, a shout out to all travelers and cocktail aficionados, from 6 September to 31 October, you are welcome to taste a series of specially designed drinks. And you can even learn how to develop customized cocktail recommendations using recipes curated by a variety of brands, throughout all terminals.

Sampling some of the special concoctions at the Upper Level of the DFS Wines and Spirits Duplex at Terminal 3, I enjoyed the Raffles Gin which used Sipsmith Raffles 1915 Edition Gin. A hint of tangy, almost citrusy notes, the Malaysian Peninsula inspired botanical blend had jasmine flowers, fresh pomelo peel, lemongrass, Kaffir lime, nutmeg and cardamom distilled alongside the award-winning Sipsmith London Dry Gin. Very classy and refreshing.

In addition to the exclusive spirits offered on site, travelers who spend S$150 or more can step up their cocktail game at home with a complimentary bar kit which features an iridescent shaker, jigger and spoon.
