Usually not a fan of prawns, but left dinner feeling really satisfied! The dishes were well executed and had really unique taste profiles. Unexpectedly, my favourite was the giant prawns - which was succulent and smoky, paired with a very addictive sauce. The dry aged kingfish loin came a close second - delivering a meaty, umami packed flavour which was unlike anything else.
The drinks were fantastic, my partner and I really enjoyed the cocktails although I would have preferred them a little stronger. The blends were creative yet tasty, unlike many other places serving local inspired cocktails which generally taste terrible/ill-fitted.
Came on a Thursday night but the venue was packed - a testament to how the food is very well received.
Had a cozy and chill dinner at Market Bistro after work. The baby squid fritters were a fantastic start - appetizingly crisp and flavorful. The crab bisque rigatoni was decadently tasty, and the ribeye was both hearty and light on the palate. We ended the night with a tiramisu that was masterfully balanced, offering just the right sweetness.
Overall, the dishes were clean-tasting and seasoned with a perfect hand. It was the ultimate comfort meal for a weary weekday evening.
First time here at Meadesmoore and the food was really impressive! SG steakhouses tend to be slightly dissapointing in terms of quality to price ratio - but Meadesmoore is commendable.
The meat was succulent, tender and umami packed. While the sides, though not the stars of the show were well executed. Particularly liked the dessert - a Mango/Passionfruit Pavlova which cut through the heavy meal we had.
Portions were generous as you can tell which is so much better than many other “high-quality” steakhouses in SG.
Definitely somewhere to visit again!
House Chungdam is one of the posher KBBQs with a nice ambience and a modern twist. The banchan was great and I particularly enjoyed the squid that was served.
The meat portions were quite generous and tasty. Food tasted quite exquisite and not too oily - rare for KBBQs.
Overall, a fantastic place to impress your date! Thoroughly enjoyed the spacious bar seating and the plating for the sides/sauces/vegetables which elevated the whole experience.
Came over on a weekday evening and was welcomed with a posh and inviting ambience hidden behind a tinted door. Tried the Wagyu Picanha and Lampino Iberico.
The steak was flavourful and rich, tasted exquisite and surprisingly tender. The fat cap was a guilty pleasure.
Iberico on the other hand was incredibly nutty and sweet. The sauce/potato puree complimented the pork really well.
Pricey but the flavours are definitely worth every dollar.
Came to this unassuming store on a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised. Ordered two soups - Ginseng black chicken and Cordyceps kampung chicken soup. The broth was very rich but not very salty (typically what happens at other stores would be trying to use salt/msg + 当归 to mask the lack of herbal ingredients). The servings were generous with a huge portion of meat in their soups.
What impressed me further were their side dishes. The prawn rolls were crispy yet succulent and the filling was definitely more generous than at a tzichar store. The sesame sauce was so fragrant.
Overall, a really good experience and the first time I have ended a soupy meal without filling thirsty!
汤的味道很浓, 中药味很足。 配料也很有水准。 主要吃了不会口渴。下次再来试试山瑞汤。
This cozy restaurant is a frequent hangout spot for me. The Tori Karaage is a must-try, crispy yet juicy on the inside. They also have an affordable Mini Don series and great-tasting alcohol. Love the flavors and the warm ambiance here.
Overall a good meal. The soup tasted homely while the texture of the fish was great. Would visit again when craving for fish soup.
Generous portions, great indulgence 😊👍🏻. Mac and cheese was yummy surprisingly. Would come around again for the fried chicken.
Went over to Fu Lin Bar and Kitchen for a quick meal after work and was surprised that I’ve missed out on this place for so long. Fu Lin offers affordable Chinese food like Mala Yong Tofu (traditional YTF in traditional mala gravy), Firecracker chicken (a must order!) and deep fried pork belly (Crispy but yet not too oily).
Food was fragrant and flavourful. Service was great (lots of banter and service crew that had a lot of initiative). And the ambience had a pretty chill mao-ish vibe to it. Would definitely head back to try the drinks one day.
