From the ambience to the food, The House Chungdam is an elegant and refreshing take on Korean BBQ. The space is contemporary, and the food is authentic yet shows hints of innovation.
For BBQ meats, we chose a serving of Marinated Boneless Beef Short Rib and Pork Jowl. Both were great cuts and carefully cooked to perfection by the staff. I personally preferred the beef for its tenderness and taste.
We also ordered a Cheese-Potato Jeon which has fluffy-textured potatoes from Gangwon, the birthplace of Jeon.
I was also pleasantly surprised and amazed to find that I left the restaurant without experiencing strong lingering food scents!
Amazing food. (the home made spicy kimchi was damn good) friendly and informative staff. nice ambience. and possibly the best part, you somehow miraculously don't smell like barbecue afterwards.
Had an enjoyable dinner with great service and even greater food. The potato and cheese Jeon was crunchy and satisfying. The meats were very tender and flavourful.
Had a great time at House of Chungdam Singapore! The staff were super friendly and cooked the meat perfectly for us. We had Set 3 (pork neck, pork belly, pork jowl) with side dishes like soy bean soup and steamed eggs, and everything was really tasty. The cheese-kimchi jeon was a must-try too. Highly recommend
Walking past The House Chungdam, you would never have guessed that it’s a place for Korean Barbecue. The interior is Scandinavian styled, bright and spacious, with no ugly exhaust hoods towering over the tables. What is even more delightful is that there isn’t any smoke stale smell lingering around as you enter, and you don’t leave the place smelling like smokey bacon. Definitely a plus for all ladies.
We ordered house feast #3 for our lunch. It comes with steamed eggs that was really umami and Soy Bean soup with extremely generous portions of beef cubes and tofu. The soup is definitely my kind of comfort food.
The staff helped us with the cooking, shared with us on the different cuts of the Spanish pork used by the restaurant and the various type of sauces to go with the meat. My preferred way is still having just the meat with some salt, so I can really taste the fresh meat.
The portion of food given is just nice for 2 pax without the need to order any more carbo to fill you up. Overall, a highly recommended place to enjoy a delicious Korean BBQ in glam.
We ordered the pork feast for two people. The meat quality was good without porky taste. Learnt from the staff that the meat came from Spain. We had a very satisfying meal. Special thanks to the friendly staff who served us and found the card key that fell out of my phone pouch in the restaurant!
