Brunch

It consisted of cheddar cheese, a perfectly cooked sunny side up, spam & a layer of veg (to make you feel less guilty). The spicy Mayo also gave a tingly spicy kick, which honestly brought the flavours of this sandwich up a few notches.

Eggs were scrambled well and nicely perfumed with truffle, with a thin layer of grana padano blanket 🧀 . We also loved the sautéed spinach and mushrooms, but I found the rye sourdough too toasted and tough to chew on (might be a personal pref thing!)

This might look like a basic bish dish but every component is well-executed!! The spinach and bacon onion jam complement the poached eggs (and hollandaise sauce), while the English muffin is airy and absorbs the sauces perfectly without turning soggy. 👌Adding on the smoked salmon just cos..... it’s smoked salmon & I love it 🥵. One thing tho, I wished the bacon was less cooked as it was slightly tough and needed some jaw exercise 💦

Wayyy overdue but we finally tried @koriosg!! This was the Grilled Cheese Sandwich ($13) with caramelised onions, American cheese and cheddar cheese 🧀 . The bread used was a wholewheat sourdough which was quite light on the palate so it didn’t overshadow the cheese and onions.

The generous amount of caramelised onions also helped to cut through the cheese mixture so it wasn’t too surfeiting to stomach 👌💯 I’d honestly reco sharing this and another sandwich so that you can try more flavours and not get too sick of the cheesiness 🤪

• Petit Breakfast ($12): 7/10
We wanted a small simple brunch so we opted for this. The brioche toast and sausage was okie/normal but the eggs were done well - luscious & not overcooked 💯(unlike some places oops)

• Beef Kofta Shakshuka ($16): 5.5/10
Similarly, the eggs were poached well and we enjoyed the bits of red pepper and tomato within. The sourdough was okay but we felt that the beef kofta was so negligible that we forgot that there was beef :,). I personally wouldn’t order this again.

Pulled Pork Eggs Ben ($14): 7.5/10
Tried this a few months back and I was happy that the eggs were poached well + the brioche was crisp yet fluffy 👌👌

Finally ate in and had @twomenbagelhouse a few days ago!!!! I ordered the “Sausage Fest” 👀 and let me tell you, those buns were real THICC 🎉. Eating these bagels were SO messy that I had to use my tissue and wet tissues several times HAHA. The double sausage patties were real delish, while the cheese and mustard sauce were creamy and complemented the bagel well 👅. However, this might get a bit jelat after a while as there were no crunchy veg to help to cut through the cheesiness so do be warned!! 🤣

Really wanna get the tonkatsu and some smoked salmon with scrambled eggs next ☺️
PS: somehow my cam couldn’t focus on the bagel (maybe cos the cam couldn’t decide on which component of the bagel to focus on cos this boy was real thick and juicy 🤷‍♀️🤪)
Overall an 8/10 (and minor shoutout: I really liked the playlist of songs @ the HV branch HAHAHA!!)

@shakeshacksg: heard that they are opening another new outlet at Suntec!!! Meanwhile I haven’t even gone to the 1st one at Jewel oops.... my extended fam tried this early in the morning (to avoid the queue) when they just opened - they told me that the fries were crispy and not very greasy, and that the burgers were good!! BUT they said don’t waste money on the pandan shake please 😅
