One of the best and freshest Sashimi Platters I have ever had in Singapore. For $42 they gave wide variety and thick slices. Will come back!

Don’t quite know where to begin for this, but wow. Finally understand what everyone was saying about not needing a knife, cause this has to be one of the most tender beef cheeks I’ve ever encountered 🤭🤭 Juicy and fork-level-easy tender, this is definitely a must try and still can’t get over how good this is?? Even the roasted peppers and olives on the side were delicious (I hate olives btw), with a normal side of mash. Only gripe would be that since it’s such an amazing dish, it’s only lacking that extra touch to the mashed potatoes to complete the perfection. Definitely do try especially when there’s eatigo 50% at dinnertime, and every other app possible like burpple/entertainer 👍🏻👍🏻

The pork cheek pasta ($23++) is hands down my favourite dish at Rookery - the pappardelle gives a good bite with its thickness, and the use of red wine in the tomato sauce gives it a delicious acidity that cuts through the starchy pasta. The pork is also incredibly well done! The bite sized pieces are tender and fall apart easily. The herbed breadcrumbs, parmesan and parsley sprinkled on top add a little dimension to the texture. A definite must-try!! 👍🏼🌟

both dishes were stunning. i feel that for the price, the portions are big and filling. duck wasn’t too salty, seasoned perfectly! the fish burger was tasty, the patty was on the slightly oily side but the flavours were there. the batter for the fish patty wasn’t too thick. generous serving of fries came along with it! it’s a must to mention their roadster beans, i got the 5oz white coffee with a single shot & it was just what i needed for the day!

This dish was pretty amazing - I normally wouldn’t attempt a mac & cheese dish on my own, but this wasn’t nearly as surfeiting as I expected it to be. While the cheese came through clearly (along with the truffle), it was still light on the palate. Would definitely come back for this again!

Came here as it was available for Burrple Beyond during F1 weekend. Loved the gashouse eggs with bacon jam ($13 nett).

Iced mocha ($6.50) was delicious too. I like that the prices are nett and coffee is affordable.

Probably one of the most worthy deals on Burpple Beyond. Look at the char-grilled river eel fillet that sits elegantly on top a bed of fluffy Japanese rice. Smokiness on point with a gleam of sweet glaze, accompanied by an oozy onsen egg. Do note that, however, there were quite a bit of little bones which were prickly. Of course, you can just pick them out.

Truffle-infused wagyu striploin, served with pickled greens, onsen egg and fluffy Japanese rice. I can’t comment on the taste as it wasn’t my order, but the pinkish-red meat surrounding the rice was already looking like a true indulgence.

Was initially a little hesitant to order this as we were afraid that the truffle flavour would be too overwhelming. Glad it turned out really pleasant! Somen was cooked to a good texture and evenly coated in truffle dressing. Scallops were fresh, though it felt a little thin for its original price tag. Service was friendly and food was good. Le Coq’s on Burpple Beyond and it’s really worth it! Will be back.

Popped by Morettino a few times as there is a one-for-one promo on Burpple Beyond😎 I wasn’t expecting much but the pastas and pizzas were good! The Fettuccine Beef Bolognese ($24) is delicious - the pasta has a nice texture and goes very well with the slow cooked minced beef in tomato sauce, very comforting! I’m not a fan of cream-based pasta, so I’m pleasantly surprised that the Carbonara ($18) is one of the lightest and least jelak ones I have ever tasted:) The lightness allowed the strong flavours of the pecorino cheese and smoked bacon to come through the dish. I also tried the Truffle Carbonara ($24), which has the same lightness of the carbonara but infused with the fragrance of truffle. Lastly, the Pizza Parma Ham ($28) features an unstoppable combination of thin crust, thinly sliced Prosciutto ham, mozzarella cheese and tomato - it’s very savoury and tasty. Pleased to find a decent and affordable Italian restaurant near my workplace:)!

Am thrilled to learn that this Carbonara here follows the authentic Italian recipe!! Which means none of that cream nonsense, just egg yolk and parmesan to create that delectable sauce! Rarely do you find such renditions here in Singapore and I love every bit of this dish here!

Finally tried this Michelin-rated ramen 🍜 which was recently awarded the 2019 Tokyo Michelin Star and listed on Tokyo Michelin Bib Gourmand 2015-2018.

The restaurant, famous for its clam-based ramen, exclusively offers oyster-based ones at its @GreatWorldCitySG outlet. I heard that the oyster consomme is prepared through hours of slow cooking!

I had the Oyster Paitan Ramen and really liked the flavourful creamy broth. The first mouthful reminded me of creamy pasta - really rich, unlike traditional ramen which usually served in clear broth.

Nonetheless, as the oyster paste (the blob that you see on the left side of the bowl) was a little too strong, I didn't quite mix everything in eventually. So I was really thankful for the lemon which added a good citrusy contrast.

PS: I topped up S$2++ for the onsen egg. A ramen would just be incomplete without the beautiful half-boiled egg, don't you agree? 🙋‍♀️
