Finally! I remember enjoying this ramen so much when I was in Tokyo 5 years ago.
Today we decided to drop by the outlet at 313@Somerset for dinner and what a treat it was! Portion was decent, noodles were springy, the char siew was so tender and the broth was so flavourful!
We added a soft boiled egg for $1.80 and, to my liking, the yolk wasn’t too mushy and had some firmness.
Enjoyed the broth to the last bit, though I must admit that some may find it salty.

Well-marinated rice, lap cheong slices, spring onions and an ample serving of chicken. As always, the best part of the dish is the bottom layer of crispy burnt rice!
But be warned - the food court is maddeningly crowded. If you intend to dine here, come early to beat the lunch/dinner crowd!

This hole in the wall of a restaurant is such a hidden gem. We came on a lazy Sunday noon to have lunch. We hadn’t been back here since the place was still a foodcourt 20 years.
And what a wonderful welcome experience we had - rich flavourful soup chock-full of kimchi, pork and toufu for such an affordable price. Will definitely return for more!

A generous amount of noodles and meat for an affordable price. There was also a good balance of sauce, noodles and meat.

With such a bold name, I decided to give this stall a go. Apart from the evident lack of any wok hei flavour, the meal was of decent standard, price and quantity.

Boneless chicken breasts, mushrooms and spaghetti. No bacon since this outlet is Halal certified. Decent chicken carbonara fare at the food court.

I came with high expectations and was not disappointed at all! In fact, consider me a fan now. For a reasonable price of $4, you get a sizeable portion of Al dente noodles, tender char siew meat and juicy wanton dumplings.
Be prepared to wait though - I queued 30min for my food.

Udon was sufficiently springy with ample servings of potatoes and onions in the rich and flavourful curry broth. However, I was still disappointed that there was no trace of meat in the dish.

Canton Jumbo is a popular three meat chain. It is especially crowded during weekday lunch hours. The Char Siew was good, and I enjoyed the wanton soup. Ask for less rice as the portion of rice served is huge! One plate can be shared by two people.

Must have when you’re at Bukit Timah Food Centre. The Gula Melaka is very good. Even though we asked for less sugar, it still tasted absolutely divine!

A huge pot of herbal chicken soup served with an assortment of mushrooms and half a chicken. This can be found at the hawker centre called “Meetup @ 13” next to a famous stall that sells duck rice and wanton mee.
