Steamboat 🥘 | Buffet 🍽
Place your staycation plans aside, a rare package that stands out from the rest — Seafood BBQ Buffet Dinner @thethreepeacocks and a Sightseeing Tour! 😎🙌🏻
It's literally free (no strings attached, just use your SRV!!) as it's only $100 per pax, read on my instagram post to find out all the details!! 🤗
While it's my second time here, it's usually packed even during weeknights, most probably due to its buffet variety and chill ambience which is great for gatherings 😍
💌 Thanks @trav.coach @thethreepeacocks and @thegastronomistz for the arrangement! 🤗

Feast on a lavish international buffet spread with a view at @riserestaurantsg , an all-day dining restaurant at a popular tourist spot in SG which has an extensive spread and reasonably priced for its quality 👌🏻🤗

We celebrated our birthdays here right before CNY eve and unknowingly got the best seats here 😍, and we even got complimentary cakes which are not included in the buffet! Our favourites would be their cheese station, make-your-own-soda station, chilli crabs and Halibut fish (extremely fresh and high quality 😋) that we kept going for more!! 10/10 will visit RISE again when I have the money and time! 😄

I'm a little late to the grilled fish hype but late rather than never right!! Also, if you're looking for a cheaper option as compared to Tan Yu, Chong Qing Grilled Fish is definitely an alternative!! 🤤 Besides, it is great for groups and can serve as a supper spot as well 🙌🏻

📝 This is a typical Sichuan dish where you had to choose the type of fish first (preferably the Sea Bass, if you're not sure where to start). Next, the flavour base and spice level of your choice, followed by add-ons/side ingredients for the fish.
.
Keeping in mind that one medium size fish serves 2 pax, we got the Patin Fish (one size, $39) in their signature Spicy Fragrant 麻辣 flavour 🌶 and the Sea Bass (large size, $38) in Mushroom Herb flavour 🍲. On top of that, we added beancurd skin, lotus root and enoki mushroom which were great complements to the already fresh and meaty fish (from $3.80 each). Furthermore, the spiciness of the mala base was still alright for 小辣 and quite addictive. But to our surprise, we actually thought that the Mushroom herb flavour stood out quite well too. The gravy was quite salty but goes well with the rice!
Also, if you're a salted egg fan, you can also consider getting the Salted Egg Calamari ($14) 😋
Expected damage: $25++
Ambience: 3.5/5
Food Rating: 8/10
⚠️ The restaurant is usually packed between 7-9pm, better to avoid those hours if you do not want to queue.
📍Outlets: Chinatown, Bugis, Serangoon
Usually have promotions since they charge per pax, but adding on items and sauces are subject to charges!
Had lunch here for the first time! Cream pasta, desserts, seafood soup, tako balls, were good! Spent some time to plate my dishes on my buffet plate hehehe ☺️☺️
