After Work Indulgence
A generally decent-sized portion though I hoped they went easier on the rice. Worth with burpple beyond - other than that it’s a pretty ordinary Don to me

Garlic lovers unite! One of the more underrated restaurants in Singapore - love, love the garlic snowy pizza and Tom yum pasta. definitely worth it with the 1 for 1 deal!

We went on a food rampage and ordered the beef cheek, beef rendang, ayam fish and the chicken for four of us. On top of that, we also ordered Ngoh hiang and kueh pie tee (x2) for starters and also closed the meal with Bobo chacha pannacotta and pulut hitam.
Every dish is great but here are my favourites:
1. Kueh pie tee (hence we ordered it twice!) each came with a prawn topped on top of the shell and the concoction with the sweet sauce and chili was just irresistible.
2. Beef rendang - so damn tender! (Tbh the beef cheek was even more tender but beef cheek isn’t really that much of my thing)
3. Bobochacha pannacotta - you know by it’s name that it’s sugar ladened but it was truly worth!
The only regret I had was that I wished we ordered a larger variety of dishes instead of just sticking to the meats. The sauces were fairly similar so the dishes could get repetitive after awhile.

Finally got to try this after an hour wait and many previous futile attempts. Used burpple beyond for the sides (the rice cake is pretty good btw), the main dish as pictured was OK. I don’t like it enough to queue for the dish again - if I do need a fix, I would probably visit Chong Qing grilled fish which imo is so much better than this!

I have had rly high expectations of this place, especially after walking past its wall of accolades. Sadly I was kinda disappointed (at my dish at least) - the spaghetti was only thinly coated with the squid ink and I thought the sauce was actually pretty salty. The spaghetti was however indeed al dente but I just expected a little more. Nice place though!

Meat truly fell off the bone so freaking easily. It came with beetroot sides which was an AMAZING pairing. I don’t know what to say but I guess this is why it’s priced at $36

Served on top of cookie crumble and toffee meringue (?). Unfortunately this was the disappointment of the meal! Was looking to end the meal on a high given that we have had multiple highs in the meal! if you eat a mouthful of banana ice cream, toffee meringue and cookie crumble- it tastes GREAT. Every element was done right. But I have concerns over the proportion of the dish - too little banana ice cream, too much cookie crumble and meringue that I ended finishing the banana ice cream before everything else.
If you’re someone who HAS to end off with a dessert (like me), you’re better off going to some nearby stalls for a cheaper dessert alternative. Yes, the menu sounds intriguing and yes, every element is unsurprisingly measured and structured but this is what precisely makes it that less decadent and unsatisfying!

Sorry lost track of the name of this dish but it was written on the chalk board (and not the menu) on the Friday night that we went. If you’ve already read my reviews, I’ve mentioned that moosehead really invests in their sauces. This was no exception. Might be overly sour for some but I like that there was a good punch of lemon juice in the dish. The fish was cooked to perfection and tasty with its marinade. I don’t know what it is but man.. it tasted good.

Usually not a fan of gnocchi - it’s usually too dense for my liking but this was light and palatable. Chewy and melts in your mouth. Paired with the cheese slices and sauce.. this dish is honestly such a Godsend. By the way, moosehead has proven itself to be really and seriously kickass in their sauces.

Refreshing dip, although it may be a little too garlicky for some. Will leave a garlicky aftertaste and breath but the pita bread balances it out. Even for all those eggplant haters (you wouldn’t even know it’s eggplant!)... this is something worth sharing as a side with your buds. The pita bread was fluffy and had sufficient bite to it so go ahead and paid it with a dip to your heart’s content!

sliced pork with a layer of fat that was way too satisfying. Usually I’d just remove the layer of fat but this was simply too tender and irresistible. Every element of the dish worked well together and the sweetness from the raisins really elevated the dish. crazy good - I wasn’t even hungry but I just GORGED on this like no tomorrow
