Best Places for Group Gatherings in KL
This Section 17 spot is great for a hearty, meaty meal, followed by drinks with friends. The lot is long and spacious, so there's ample space to spread out as you tuck into their best — the Signature US Pork Ribs (RM78) doused in a zingy barbecue sauce. Don't miss the simple yet stellar sides to share too, especially the refreshing Watermelon Mint Yoghurt Salad (RM12). Cap off the meal with a cold one — they’ve got all-day beer promos (from RM69 for five glasses).

A visit to this crab restaurant is worth the gravy-soaked fingers. Your orders should include the Hoegaarden Seafood Pot (RM288) jam-packed with fresh lala, crabs and more, and the Thousand Island Sauce Pork Ribs (from RM18). If there's extra tummy space, order another round of crustaceans cooked in the crowd-favourite Kam Heong (from RM48) style. Call ahead to book a spot for one of the cosy, yellow-clothed tables for dinner, as Fei Fei Crab gets busy over the weekends.

Michele's Kitchen marks the spot for family-style dining over homely Hakka fare and more. For first-timers, the friendly owner recommends the house specials, like the tender Mooi Choy Kao Yoke (pork belly with preserved mustard greens, from RM22) and the asam-heavy Nyonya-style Steamed Fish (RM42). Also look out for traditional dishes like the Colourful Cold Platter (RM120) featuring painstakingly made jelly chicken — this requires advance ordering.

Decked out in long wooden tables, this casual but swanky Indian restaurant is prime for celebrations. The owners are friendly, service is prompt and food is consistently tasty! The menu of northern Indian eats is wonderful for sharing too. Get the must-have garlicky Lasooni Gosht (mutton, RM37), fragrant Mutton Briyani (RM20) and the Murgh Makhani (butter chicken, RM31). The latter is served with a side of bread so you can mop up every last bit of the creamy gravy.

Planning dinner with the gang? There's no better way to amp up your night out than with an Italian feast! This two-storey pizza joint might look small but the dining booths upstairs are good to fit six to eight comfortably. Dive straight for the crowd-favourite Umbrian Black Truffle Pizza (RM38.60) drizzled in aromatic truffle oil, and end your meal with a good bottle of wine from the beautiful floor-to-ceiling rack. You can also cop pasta dishes from next-door sister restaurant Grano Pasta Bar. We vote for the spicy Creste De Gallo Lisce (RM34.90).

Grilling meat over a charcoal fire — now that’s a smoking hot dinner to enjoy with the gang! Make sure to come with hungry tummies as the BBQ Set A (RM63) comes with large plates of pork belly, pork shoulder and baby octopus. You'll also want to snag an order of their signature Spicy Rice Balls (RM24) coated in shredded seaweed. Roll these into little rice ball babies and pop 'em on the grill — a delicious hint of smokiness comes through from the hot sauce that binds the rice together.
