Pasta🍝

I loved the carbobara sauce, which despite seeming not present in large amount, but was sufficiently thick and creamy, clinging well to every strand of the spaghetti which was cooked till perfectly al dente. However, the slices of smoked salmon didn't taste too fresh and i think an onsen egg would have gone better with the dish than a sunny side up? 😅

On their sides menu, but i would totally order this as my main. The mac n cheese is light and not jelat at all. Only downside was that the macaroni felt abit "nua" and not that well cooked

Portion size was good, not too small nor too big. Felt that they could have been bolder on spice level, as the use of chilli oil was rather mild and failed to achieve much, tasted just like a normal tomato-based pasta dish.

The saltiness of smoked duck was balanced out by the tomato sauce which wasn’t too strong.
The fettucine while cooked till nicely al dente, had something off about it- didn’t taste like it was made in-house.

There's no GST or service charge here yay 😌 My plate of smoked duck aglio olio was hearty and delicious, with al dente pasta that carried a nice level of heat with juicy chunks of smoked duck and mushrooms to go with it 😋
P.S. The place is quite popular and tends to get kind of crowded during meal times so you might have to wait quite awhile to get your food! We waited for about almost 30mins for all our orders to arrive.

The dish came with 6 pieces of juicy shrimps that were deliciously sweet. The generous amount of tobiko and bits of lupcheong hidden within definitely elevated the textures of the dish and added extra depths in terms of flavours so that you're not just dying from the spice😹

P.S. The colour of the pasta may seem abit weird but don't fret because the blue-grey hues are achieved through the use of butterfly pea so theres no artificial colourings or whatnot added. Safe for consumption la👌🏻

However, while I love the cheesiness and creaminess of the dish, I did feel that the truffle component could have been stronger.
There was plenty of mushrooms together with edamames and water chestnuts which provided an extra crunch so that eating the pasta was never boring, with the textures unexpectedly different for various mouthfuls. Taste-wise I felt that they didn't quite go together though 😂

Juicy slices of kimchi gave a nice texture contrast to the al dente strands of spaghetti. The spice was addictive but not too overwhelming. Comes with a rather generous portion of crispy pork belly too! 😊 Already value for money but all the more if you have #burpplebeyond or #entertainerapp !

Was recommended this Traditional Bolognese ($13) and I'm glad i took their recommendation because I was actually pleasantly surprised by how much I liked the pasta! I'm usually quite hesitant about bolognese by the way, because I hate it when my pasta is smothered in heavy tomato sauce that leaves me in a sodium overkill state.
The spaghetti was perfectly al dente and I felt that the sauce-pasta ratio was just nice, with the sauce being flavourful enough yet not too heavy. Also comes with a runny egg for you to mix in! Talk about yumz! I'll definitely be back for more. The prices here are actually quite affordable, with the more fanciful/interesting fusion pastas being just $15. With 1 for 1, its really so damn value for money!

The bacon was thick just the way I like it, providing a nice bite, though I wished there were more of it. Loved how cheesey this was, with the maccheroni trapping the copious amount of cheese, making each and every bite a cheese lover's heaven.

The pasta wasn't drenched in sauce, yet the salted egg element was distinct but not overwhelmingly strong, so its not jelat at all. However, I felt that the soft shell crab was a tad oily.

Visited during lunch hours and there was a free flow salad bar with potato salad, mesclun salad, couscous, macaroni and much more.

Overall, it is really quite worth the visit , especially with burpplebeyond's 1 for 1 !

They looked really promising but I was sorely disappointed upon cutting the meatballs apart because... I was at least expecting a certain level of cheesiness, which you can see in the 2nd pic was clearly lacking sorely in.
Besides the lack of cheesiness, the meatballs were really dry and gamey and could definitely have used more seasoning, though that is just a personal preference! I really enjoyed the spaghetti though, being perfectly al dente, providing nice bite and I savoured every strand happily.
I would like to commend @ettosg 's staff actually, because they were really receptive towards our feedback about the dish and seemed genuinely sorry that I wasn't really enjoying my dining experience with them and even offered a complimentary dessert. Hopefully the next time I visit I will enjoy my dish more 🙂
