This is the new addition to my Japanese fare list in PJ, one place that keep me going back for its Engawa 🍣! First tried of Engawa was at Oribe and that was really awesome; and today I found a place serving Engawa too! This lightly seared flounder fin has a chewy oil-rich taste and it literally melts in your mouth 😋 do not compare this with the one from Oribe as Oribe uses fresh flounder which gives a more crunchy and crispy texture. The menu here is quite extensive and I think I need a second and third visit soon.

This husband & wife team started out selling home cooked Vietnamese dishes at a hawker stall in a nearby kopitiam for years before they decided to move into their own restaurant in SS2 last year. Pho King serves one of the best & authentic Pho with clear & delicious broth by using only premium Australian Beef & Sanbanto Pork.

Another crowd favourite here is the Hanoi Grilled Pork Noodles, aka Bun Cha, which is also Obama’s and my favourite. Well marinated & perfectly grilled pork served with rice noodles, fresh greens & tangy dipping sauce.

Never forget to try the Vietnamese Drip Coffee and Fresh Summer Roll too because you might get addicted to the peanut dipping sauce like me.

Originating from Japan, this luxurious cafe is now opened in Mid Valley City, KL! A trip to Hoshino Coffee is not complete without trying their signature hand dripped coffee. My personal favourite has to be the fluffy French Toast and Soufflé.

Another new guy on the menu which is surprisingly good 🌮 2-way open tacos with i) tempura battered barramundi, homemade tartare sauce, avocado & sweet corns & ii) home cured salmon with cherry tomatoes, ebiko, avocado, sesame wakame, lettuce, parmesan & feta!

For pasta, you may try this popular dish which comes with a choice of streaky beef bacon / chicken ham, dash of miso & sake, fresh grated Parmesan and splash of chilli Togarashi spice! You may nosh your pasta up with add on of half boiled free range egg @ RM2.90.

For starters, you may have this clams in fish broth infused with sake, tomato, fresh thai basil and scallion served with sides of toasted sourdough 😋 you may swap the clams for black chilean mussels for a supplementary charge @ RM29.90

Can’t really taste the kimchi and the udon was over cooked. Price is on the high side for this udon.
