Because Fryday deserves to be enjoyed, torched, with indulgent lashings of mayo, nacho cheese, and BBQ sauce.

Hope everyone's having a stellar start to the weekend! 😎

Pretty good value for money if you're sharing this among 4 persons, though ironically, my favourite items on the platter were the impeccably-done salmon and the FREE-FLOW fries!

I freaking love these. Palm-length nuggets of crispy breadcrumbs encasing a velvety filling of bechamel, mashed potato, chopped jalapeño and cheddar, served with green chilli mayonnaise. The piquant heat of the peppers keeps the whole thing from getting too cloying, so don't be surprised if you're clamouring for more than one.

Dallas may be known for their meat, but these tasty tacos are quite the show-stealer. The crispy pork belly with guacamole, aioli, pickled onions and jalapeño is an unctuous treat, but the one that really stirred my tastebuds is that delightfully flaky fillet of battered snapper jazzed up with spiced pineapple chutney and zingy chipotle mayonnaise.

American comfort food, featuring crowd-pleasers, chicken and waffles and macaroni & cheese incorporated with toothsome clumps of pulled beef cheek.

So in love with everything here, especially the firm bagels encrusted with fragrant black and white sesame seeds, slathered with a inch-thick layer of cream cheese. Could eat this every day!

What's better than mac & cheese? Mac and cheese rolled into balls, coated in breadcrumbs and deep-fried. It pays to be sinful sometimes.

Mid-week cravings for this scrumptious pork chop at under-the-radar al fresco restaurant-bar, @merdandy at OCBC Centre. Sprawled atop crisp fries – these are damn shiok – are slabs of herb-seasoned pork, expertly grilled so they've got a lovely golden char on the outside while retaining all their juices. Maximum satisfaction comes when you use bite-sized pieces of the pork to mop up the cascading pool of creamy mushroom sauce.

This is such an awesome lunch steal, it'd be criminal for me not to share: grab this together with a soup and drink on weekdays at just $14.90. OCBC staff and OCBC card holders receive 15% and 10% off their bills respectively.

Quite impressed with this full rack, which is marinated overnight with thyme and bay leaves, then slow-cooked in the oven so the pork's natural juices surface and caramelise, leaving a glaze-like coating all over. The meat falls cleanly off the bones with little effort on my part, its unctuous fattiness alleviated by a spicy bell pepper sauce – they call this chimichurri on the menu, which I find quite bewildering because it's clearly not green and not made of parsley.

Possibly the best fried chicken and waffles I've had in town so far, and I'm not saying this just because @sixthsensepr is handling the account. If you like this "soul food" dish, you'd best come try this rendition by acclaimed Clinton Street Baking Co. of New York fame when they open their Singapore outpost this coming Saturday.

Clinton St. uses buttermilk in a lot of their dishes, including pancakes, Southern biscuits, and of course, their fried chicken and waffles. This lattermost is served toasty and golden-brown, evenly crispy across the surfaces and edges while maintaining a remarkably plush interior; it cushions large slabs of chicken breast meat marinated in buttermilk for at least 24 hours up to 3 days so it's assuredly tender and juicy, then deep-fried for a mouthwatering crisp on the outside. Top that all off with drizzles of the warm, house-made maple butter – so delectably rich and luscious that you'll want to go nuts with it and eat it with EVERYTHING.

Gawd, I'm making myself salivate. If you're drooling too, you know what to do. Mark your calendar and set the alarm: Clinton Street Baking Co. opens its doors at 9.05am this Saturday, 19 September.

The pizza at Tony's is good, but so is their pasta, especially the one tossed in a homemade herby tomato sauce – the beef meatballs are pretty amazeballs!

If you're good with spice, you'll find even the spiciest level – Atomic – child's play, so ask for more sauce on the side so you can really pack the heat on!

If you think wolfing down 8 slices of pizza is a piece of cake, you probably haven't tried performing that feat at Tony's. Made with flour and cheese that are specially imported from the States, the New York-style pies here boast a flavourful crust that's light, thin, and not overly doughy.

My favourite was surprisingly the Cheese Slice, the most naked-looking in the bunch. With this mozzarella-blanketed piece, I could fully savour the sweetness of the herby tomato sauce beneath. Only thing I'd add: pepperoni. Lots of pepperoni.

Thank you, @tonyspizzasg for feeding us so well, and thank you, @alainlicious for letting me tag along!
