Jiak Kantang 🍕
Lettuce, sliced beef, 2 types of cheese, onions and peppers? Or was that green chili? The chicken burger came with tomatoes instead of the unidentified green food. They’re open to takeaways too if you can’t finish your meal.
$20 (excluding GST, no service charge) for a huge ass 22cm burger! Choose between beef or chicken. I got both. Sides and drinks are sold separately. They have a condiment dispenser machine with like 5-6 sauces that you can help yourself FOC. There was no need for that as the meat was very well marinated. I went to Monster Burger, mentally prepared that the burger is gonna look better than it tastes but I was wrong. Was surprised to see that the beef burger came with thinly sliced beef instead of minced beef patty. The chicken burger came with 4 huge chunks of chicken thigh. I hope they run another 1 for 1 promo again cos it was so damn worth it!
Here's the other steak!
$35++ one for one steak promo until the end of September. Book it on the Hungrygowhere website! You can choose from Pasture fed Ribeye (220g) or Black Angus Tenderloin (180g). We had one of each. The steak did not come with any salad or fries. I loved how they topped the steak with butter, not many places I've been to does that.
Disclaimer, the original PS cafe burger does not look like this. I requested for bunless and had my fries changed to a salad. The burger also came with a slice of bacon hidden under the tomato. Menu stated 170-180g of patty but it looked less than that, closer to 130g. I know because I make my own beef patties at home. I'm always here for supper but this is my first time actually having dinner. Cafe is noisy regardless of timing and it may be difficult to have a decent conversation.
First time having the angus beef burger since it launched last year. The patty has better texture than the regular MacD beef burgers and the type of cheese used is different as well (lol just so you know you're getting your money's worth). I'm just happy to see the bacon in there 🥓
Rather expensive for a trio of crab cakes? 🤔 Then again it is a posh restaurant after all. The reddish dressing is cocktail sauce.
Even though this is a 1 Michelin star restaurant that I've walked past several times, somehow it isn't on my food radar and I had to google for it prior to visiting.
Made reservations for 7pm and the restaurant was empty save for one other table. The steak came with 6 sauces and I chose herb butter while my dining companion chose hollandaise sauce. Bread service is payable at $12. I passed, since I don't eat bread.
The beef was good but not exceptional. It was tender and not veiny/chewy. TBH I prefer the meat at Cut or Mortons than at Osia. Probably will not come back for the beef.
1 for 1 Singtel promo for their flaming burger until August! YAASSSS
For 2 patties and 2 slices of cheese I thought it was pretty value for money even without the promo. You're supposed to blow out the flames before they extinguish but I was too busy taking both videos and photos that part of the bun got burnt lol. It was very nice of the waiter to suggest swapping the charred bun with a fresh one at no cost. And oh, free ice water! My only gripe is that there was no veggie/salad accompanying the burger but that's okay cos the double patty made up for it!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Finally tried the nasi lemak burger! Went around 930pm and they were sold out of Chendol mcflurry. The nasi lemak burger didn't come with onions too because they ran out of that as well. Couldn't substitute the onions for another egg so had to make do with extra sambal chilli. It wasn't spicy at all! The real thing is definitely way better and authentic but for a quick fix in the middle of the night this will do!
Apparently Sprmrkt Daily and Sprmrkt Kitchen & Bar is different even though they're @ the same place. The former seems slightly cheaper. Anyway!
The pulled pork burger came with pickled beets which I thought was a weird pairing (hate veggies btw). Fortunately there was no strong beetroot taste. Must be the hickory BBQ sauce and onion rings. Like the wagyu burger there was also a sunny side up egg. This item is not under Chef's Recommendation but I'd say it was pretty good!
180g of patty sandwiched between caramelized onions, a sunny side up and emmental cheese with fries and salad. The patty was SO JUICY it squirted when I sliced it in half.
More value for money than their ribeye (180-200g for $36) which didn't have as much ingredients.
