Local Finds
Stall moved from coffee shop at block 202 Ang Mo Kio to this location recently. The dough is not too sweet and is fried to very crispy texture and cracks well when pulled apart. Standard curry is not too sour by my tastebuds. The mutton curry has good meat flavours.
Priced at $9.90 as a main. I could have added on $3.90 to make it a set meal with soup and a drink but I was not that hungry.
Crispy on the outside and juicy tender on the inside for the deep fried fish. Goes well with the malt vinegar recommended by the staff. Mash was smooth and creamy with a light taste to the gravy sauce.
Ranging from around $6 to $25 per dish. Had the olive fried rice, steamed sea bass, tom yum soup and barbecue pork chops. Fried rice has the wok taste and rice texture still grain like but soft. Seafood tom yum soup has the sour spicy flavour and seafood fresh. Steamed fish cooked just right with light seasoning that includes chilli and lime. Pork chop tender and juicy, pairs well with the sauce.
At Tea Festival 2017. Love the way the lemon custard cuts through the light fluffy tea sponge cake. The cake sweetness is just right and amount of cream not to feel it's too heavy.
