Genmaicha was very fragrant although it was too ice blended - couldn't suck up anything through the straw! The goma soft serve flavour was just right - not too strong the black sesame flavour nor too creamy or icy the soft serve. The sweetness was just right too (I don't like my dessert overly sweet). It was quite nice a match!
We ordered a matcha roll cake too - nothing like the osulloc you imagine. The cake portion was slightly dry, while the cream portion was not 腻 - could tell that sufficient matcha powder was used to make the cream. Overall, the cake was not da bombz though, but could tell it isn't too sinful too!
Large chunks of lightly marinated salmon cubes canopied the chewy, sweet Japanese rice. A simple yet exquisite dish favoured by many. The shiok-ness of putting one salmon chunk with half a spoonful of Japanese rice into your mouth at once - that texture, keeps me wanting more. (Even though I had the large bowl).
Served with unsalted original chips and a small serving of coleslaw, the turkey grilled wrap came looking like a normal sandwich. Beneath sits tomato rice, turkey slices, black beans, cheese, carrots, etc. It looks like a skinny and flat burrito hahaha. The chips ruined the plate (imo), but overall it tasted greattttt.
Ordered a legend: a huge pile of bacon, avocado smash, a piece of lovingly-fried egg, hippie greens, tomato slices. All between a handmade rye bagel.
Here, you can choose from a list of bagel menu (legends), or you can choose your own ingredients.
Even though it's on the pricier side, they serve really generous ingredients together with their handmade bagels. Plus, they have personalised service where they ask for your name upon your order so your name is called for your bagel collection. You'll be warmly greeted by the staff as you walk into the shop!
Another signature in this cafe, the chicken batter was special & thin, and chicken pieces were well-marinated to perfection. Go ahead to dip your chicken in the caramel maple syrup as the chicken batter complements it extremely well! Remember to pair it with the waffles too! The waffles helped to neutralise the oiliness & sweetness of the fried chix & maple syrup, while giving it an extra perspective. Definitely a must-order!
Clinton's signature pancakes were served hot (I repeat, hot) to the table, drizzled with semi-sweet real blueberries-made sauce. Housemade caramel maple syrup was unique & complemented the pancakes really well. Would definitely come back for more! (If only they could make it more affordable 😭)
Crispy rectangular waffles served with a generous scoop of its new premium flavour Hei Sesame (usual scoops @ $3.70) topped with a drizzle of maple syrup! Satisfying after-lunch indulgence with my loved one under the hot weather.
Well, they probably name it Portuguese as if it goes together with Portuguese egg tart. But it is just another version of Hokkien mee with good wok hei and horfun-like egg wash, stir-fried with thick bee hoon & a few strands of wholegrain noodles. It came with only 2-3 lala & 2 crunchy & juicy prawns & a few pieces of sotong. The staff was nice to ask whether I wanted red chili padi or sambal belachan and I got both. The sambal belachan made the entire dish resemble hokkien mee even more.
While they serve a healthier choice of wholegrain noodles, the bowl of thick, creamy and flavourful curry sauce will ruin the 'healthiness' in it. The noodles were not too overcooked as they were served in warm curry sauce. Fishballs were tender too. You can choose your bowl of curry noodles to top with pork chop or pork belly. We chose pork chop although we had an order of pork chop bun 😛 but it didn't disappoint!
Milk tea was flavourful but overly sweet (had to remind myself it is a HK cha chan teng and not Thai milk tea). The pork chop was well-marinated & carried a peppery taste, which blended well with the plain bun. Butter was only spread on the lower piece, so the top piece was plain and made the entire bun less heavy.
The sandwich was evidently served warm from the oven, and the ciabatta was soft (not hard like I imagined). The button mushrooms beneath the buns were wrapped in melted cheese and bursting with flavours. The portion was generous too. Greens were fresh & neutralised the tanginess of the melted cheese as well as the unhealthy chips. Wish they could replace the chips with something like sweet potato fries.
2 quarter-sized waffles stacked up with cream cheese filling in between, topped with a scoop of their popular nutella banana ice cream and a generous drizzle of maple syrup.
You can choose your flavour of waffle and choice of syrup here.
However, it wasn't as magnificent as I thought it to be. :/
