More than just burgers and chicken chops.

This, including the cornbread waffles, were my top favourites among the wide spread served at the restaurant during their last weekend (24/11–26/11).

The individual components of the Wagyu Big Mac Fried Rice were simple and unassuming, but together, they constructed the most comforting of rice bowls. The beef itself was a little dry, but the rest of the ingredients were well done. The flavour combination was amazing, and it all felt like a warm hug.

The cornbread waffles were something else too. I love cornbread in general but the ones here still blew my mind–I happily had 5 of those goodies. I usually favour crispier waffles, but I didn't mind these at all because they were delightfully fluffy. Beside them being sweet like typical cornbreads I've had, pairing them with the maple syrup enhanced the flavour further and actually brought out a wonderful smokiness in it. There were bits of corn kernels inside too, which I was only too happy to lap up. Beautiful flavours and texture checked, making these a plate (or in my case, 2 plates) of memorable waffles.

So with these, I bid farewell to Bird Bird with a heavy heart. I've never been a fried chicken fan, but these outstanding menu items proved that the restaurant can delight everyone else too!
I certainly hope this is not the last we've seen of Bjorn and his amazing team (other than Artichoke, of course) for this experience has further affirmed my belief that they can execute some great stuff.

I was greatly anticipating a spicy & shiok Tom Yum flavour, but sadly, that taste didn't come through. Honestly, it tasted like an average tomato pasta, but I did enjoy the chew of the fusilli. I also wished they gave a wider variety of seafood but what was served I did enjoy, especially the fresh king-sized prawn which (rightfully) took centre stage.

Heard a lot about the Greyhound in Bangkok, but frankly, what I had today wasn't outstanding. I did however, love the service (thanks Mr Kurt!) and the ambience– it is nicely decorated and a quiet place set in upscale Paragon.

These fries were indeed crisp and sliced incredibly thinly, but so much so that I couldn't get what I was eating. In fact, they reminded me of the tempura batter crisps instead of potato fries. Again, I'm pretty sure I must be an anomaly because I can see how this will be addictive to some, given how light and non-greasy these were. What I can appreciate though, is the ingenious combination of sauces, that was incredibly tasty & appetising!

Service was friendly and great, and overall I enjoyed my time there. I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking to have some light hearted fun with some friends over good grub and alcohol. 🍻

I'm not crazy about fried chicken at all, unless they're doused in heavy sauces. So, I'll be the first to admit that it takes A LOT to impress me with this dish.
While the fried chicken here didn't change my mind about how I feel, it is a pretty good rendition of it. The batter was really light, crispy and seasoned well, but the most amazing thing has to be how the chicken remained so juicy and moist within. Yes, that includes the notoriously dry breast meat!
It is also served thoughtfully with some pickles to add some freshness and a garlic dip which reminds me of a whipped version of the tzatziki sauce.
While I'd still pick saucy fried chicken over this, I am certain this would definitely please all the plain ol' fried chicken fans out there. If you're not driving to get here, definitely get some booze to go with your meal; they even have recommended pairings with your choice of chicken on the blackboard!

I loveeee mussels so I didn't pass up the chance to order it when I saw it on the menu. They had this as a special that night, which we immediately ordered because we knew it'd be extra fresh at a seafood restaurant. And that it was, besides the fact that they were also incredibly plump and juicy. I opted for the garlic white wine broth (there was a spicy tomato option too) and they definitely did not scrimp on those garlics (and salt)! I didn't mind it at all, and though I have to say it really was a little too salty, I loved soaking the bread with it (which they kindly obliged when I asked for an additional order hehe).

I loved everything on the plate!
A generous slab of fresh tuna (not at all fishy) cooked beautifully with a nice pink in the middle. The assortment of vegetables were grilled very well, the sweet potato delightfully creamy, and the rest of the sauces added fresh flavours, though uneccessary really, with the quality seafood. This is truly a gem in the neighbourhood; can't believe I haven't been here sooner!

We were in the area to try something else, but that place was packed and we were in no mood to queue so we were stranded with no clue of what to fill our growling stomachs with. That is, until I whipped out my trusty Burpple app and that's when we found this hidden gem!

The burger buns, as mentioned by many other reviewers, were spot on - incredibly soft and very, very nicely buttered. The chicken patty was tender and retained its juiciness very well, although I would have to say, I still prefer beef burgers to chicken. The greens complemented the lightness of it all, but I think that fresh pineapples would elevate the dish even further.
Still for the price, I'm certainly not complaining!

Texture of the pasta reminded me a lot of Korean Tteopokki (which I like btw). I quite enjoyed the sauce too since it was full of bacon flavour, though it did get too salty in the end. Don't expect authentic Italian pasta, and you might just enjoy this dish as much as I did!

While a cup of fruits and a few spoonfuls of yoghurt at this price might raise a few eyebrows, my main gripe was rather, its presentation. At its price tag, I wished it was plated with much more care/creativity. Still, I liked that there was quite a good variety of fruits (blueberry, strawberry, cantaloupe, apple, grape and pineapple). Also, they have a decent selection of coffee! I was impressed they offered the 3/4 Latte, something that I thought was more commonly found in Melbourne.

The presentation for this one was stunning- all our heads turned and the table was filled with oohs and aahs when it was set down infront of us. This was my friend's order, and she finished it and gave it her #burpproval. (Y)

I'm usually more of a beef burger person myself, but because I wasn't feeling particularly hungry, I settled for this instead.
To be frank, I couldn't really taste the sriracha in the mayo, but the chicken thigh was cooked perfectly- extremely juicy and well spiced (as expected from Chef Don). That with the addition of fresh lettuce, tomato and onions made this burger a very clean tasting one which I polished off quite easily.
The place was nicely decorated and good vibes too (they started playing karaoke songs later in the night). With affordable beer and alcohol, I imagine it would be a great place to chill and have a laid back evening with good company.

This was pretty good! Meat was tender, had a good ratio of fats, and easy to eat (read: wipe clean) off the bones.
My brother said the ribs weren't as good as usual (it was my first visit, so I couldn't compare) butttt honestly I thought this was still better than the average ribs I had in USA, so I was still pretty satisfied. Though, I agreed that it could be much smokier.
Fries were average but the beans... wow. It had deep barbecue flavour which I loved and helped myself spoonfuls after spoonfuls of. Now I know that the rice and beans are the ones to get if I ever come back (oh how convenient that the ribs comes with a choice of 2 sides...)
