This is actually my second time eating omu rice. Perhaps I have been spoiled too much by YouTube videos of omu rice in Japan hence I feel the egg could be more runny. The rice is flavoured tomato rice which is great with the beef stew to cut through the strong and beefy taste of the stew. The beef is quite tender, it is in cubes and the meat was rather flaky. I just wish the sauce for the stew is less beefy? The sauce does get overpowering after a while. This costs 22.30 before gst and service charge.

Really love the ambience of the cafe. It is a good place to chill and talk over drinks or food. Pictured is the truffle parmesan fries that we had. The fries came to our table pipping hot and each fry was crisp and fluffy on the inside. The only thing lacking was that we felt the fries could do with a bit more salt and parmesan flavour. The truffle flavour was just right. Nonetheless, I love the ambience and I would love to come back to chill for brunch! #BurppleXChope

I didn't see anyone ordering this but still decide to go for it as I have seen rave reviews of this salad. The broccoli salad was very interesting with different savoury notes. It would taste different when you add the red sugar by the side of the plate. The only issue I had was the dish felt a little too oily to me. This is definitely not something to order if you want something healthy or light tasting. Best when shared with 1 or 2 other people! #BurppleXChope
