4 munchies: Crispy and chewy on the inside, every squid was coated evenly with the strong-flavoured salted egg sauce with curry leaf fragrance. How about a bowl of piping hot white steamed rice and a pint of ice cold beer to go with it? #Burpproved

4.5 munchies: While Wong Ah Wah is well-known for its BBQ chicken wings, the Kam Heong Lala (Golden Fragrant Clams) featured here is one of the best clam dishes I've eaten. Sweet, savoury, and spicy, I could slather that luscious kam heong sauce with curry leaves added over a bowl of steamed white rice! I also appreciate how the upper shells of the clams were removed so you only get those with clams attached. #Burpproved

3.5 munchies: Filled to the brim with assorted ingredients including crayfish, mussels, tiger prawns, roast pork, and enoki mushrooms, we picked the home-made tom yum broth that came with a fiery kick! There was also a good balance of sour and sweet flavours, with fragrant spices and herbs used. I’d recommend you to add the mama instant noodles that had a bouncy texture. #Burpproved

The big pot featured here, which feeds 3-4 people, is priced at $68.80; regular pot feeds 2 at $38.80.

4.5 munchies: While Peperoni Pizzeria prides on its XXL size pizzas, this Baked Seafood Misto, which is relatively new on the menu, is THE item you ought to go for. Seafood lovers like me would definitely enjoy the assortment of seasonal fresh fish (we got barramundi, yay!), tiger prawns, squid, and venus clams. What absolutely smashed it was the umami, buttery broth infused with natural sweetness from all the seafood goodness. Give me some toasted bread to soak up the juices and I’d be in seventh heaven!

3.5 munchies: Well-cooked tender pieces of sea bass doused in tangy tomato sauce with a tinge of garlic and basil. I liked how fresh and meaty the fish was, though some of my dining companions found the fishy taste a tad strong. Fried potatoes were also well-seasoned and crisp on the outside. #Burpproved

The Sea Bass is part of the Ultimate Recovery Brunch menu that is available every Sunday from 11.30am to 2.30pm. Priced at $78++ per person, the menu showcases Chef Gabriele Piegaia’s classic Italian specialties alongside two hours of free-flow Bloody Mary, Espresso Martini, Prosecco, and house pour wines. Kids up to 12 years old can also enjoy Burlamacco’s spread at $24++ per child.

Imagine the circumference of this pizza is as wide as the width of a dining table – they call it the XXL Pizza (21 inches) here at Peperoni Pizzeria, and it can’t get more literal than this. Like most Singaporeans who love our chilli crab, we jumped straight into ordering it for the first half of the pizza, and Pancetta for the other.

Unfortunately, the Chilli Crab fell short of expectations with the sauce not being spicy enough and that the ginger taste was slightly overpowering. I really enjoyed the savoury Pancetta that contains cured bacon, sliced tomatoes, and two sunny side-up eggs. And oh, don't we all love how crispy and thin Peperoni's crust is?

3.5 munchies: Caught fresh daily at Jurong Fish Farm, the grey mullet is ideal for cooking and pairing with strong flavours. The homemade olive and anchovy tapenade gave the white fish a punch of saltiness. To balance out the pungent mush, the sweetness of pumpkin purée and sourness of white balsamic sauce vierge also reduced the strength of the white fish's natural muddy flavour. Baby vegetables were roasted until tender and lightly browned in spots.

Chef Kelvin Loke alternates the grey mullet with sea bass from the same fish farm occasionally.

With a total of 10 hot and cold stations including Korean, Barbecue, Deep-Fried, Hot Dishes & Noodles, Seafood, and Dessert Bar, diners will be spoilt for choice at this new buffet restaurant that features multiple ‘live’ cooking and carving stations. Sea & Blue also rotates its food offerings every fortnight so diners can look forward to a new experience with each visit.

Despite the extensive offering of more than 100 food selections, the only dish that really stood out for me was the Suckling Pig from the Hot Dishes & Noodles station. Prices range from $42++ to $64++ for adults during lunch, and $58++ to $68++ for dinner. Children dine at $22++ to $26++ at lunch and $26++ at dinner. I'm not sure if the suckling pig alone would warrant a second visit, though.

2 munchies: Imagine the moment the dish lands on the table, the first thing you notice is the layer of oil that sits at the bottom of the bowl. The Crispy Octopus was so greasy that there was hardly any crunch on the batter. Coated with salted egg butter sauce, I thought the salted egg flavour could have been more pronounced, though. In retrospect, perhaps not since the overall dish was already so heavy.

This was a hosted meal by Museo; many thanks to Sixth Sense PR for taking us on the Singapore Restaurant Festival's media trail! #museosg #srf2017

4 munchies: I don't usually compare the same dish from two establishments in my review, but the distasteful chilli crab that I had from Fremantle Seafood Market during the ongoing Singapore Restaurant Festival was a far cry from the one served at my favourite Szechuan-Cantonese restaurant.

Packed with sweet yet savoury and spicy flavours, the tangy gravy hit all the right notes from the sambal, tomato paste, and vinegar. It'd have been perfect if the texture of the eggy sauce were slightly thicker, though. The flesh of the 900g mud crab was sweet and succulent – best eaten with lots of gravy, and of course, using your hands!

The Wok-Fried Chilli Crab is part of Peony Jade's Red Hot Chilli Crabbers Set Lunch for Two, priced at $138.80++ for a five-course meal. It also comes with our iconic cocktail, the Singapore Sling! #Burpproved

4 munchies: Doused in thick, tangy rempah that had a similar flavour profile to assam fish curry, the locally-farmed barramundi was cooked to perfection. Firm, meaty, and moist with lightly crisp skin, every bite was packed with bold flavours that wowed my senses. Garnishes include crunchy okra, chewy dehydrated pineapples, and juicy vine-ripened tomatoes – all of which added zing and tang of the dish! #Burpproved

5 munchies: Simmered in a marinara sauce, the casserole of Neapolitan fish stew was loaded with barramundi, prawns, calamari, mussels, and clams. The umami-ness of the broth was absolutely smashing – packed with sweet-savoury goodness from the variety of seafood as well as white wine that imparted a fruity, mineral flavour!

Helmed by Chef Andrea Tarini with a 3-Michelin-star background, all dishes at Atmastel are prepared using only the freshest artisanal ingredients air-flown weekly from Italy.
