Brunch Grub!
This was the corn fritter ($22?) that was really a beautifully seasoned and crispy fried latke with some pieces of corn more than anything. Came with generous slices of bacon, two nicely poached eggs, some cherry tomatoes and spinach. Overall, very satisfactory dish. Also tried the special of the day which was a sweet sticky pork dish ($26) that came with a side of some Vietnamese style glass noodle salads. This was seasoned beautifully with a slight char and smokiness beneath the initial sweetness and me and my friend enjoyed it immensely. Heard from our delightful server that there will be a revamp of the menu next week so be sure to go check it out!
We tried the SnS ($14) (slices of beautifully marinated beef paired with mushrooms, caramelized onions and emmental cheese), Avo-Baco ($13) (avocado and bacon) and the Spicy Tuna Tataki ($14). Personally loved the SnS and Tuna Tataki more than the Avo-baco just because I felt like they were more exciting in terms of flavor. But still gotta say that i loved all of them and will definitely be coming back for more! :P
Tried the avo-ca-dukkah ($15) and the pulled pork Benedict ($15). Glad to say both were absolutely delicious with perfectly poached eggs that spewed over our toasted sourdoughs like a beautiful volcanic eruption. The pulled pork was definitely well marinated and accompanied by Apple slaw that cut through the sweetness. The avocado toasts were a little on the salty side tho. Still, perfect bench spot!
Ordered the Lokal Ricotta ($20), Toastie of the day ($14.90), Steak and Eggs ($26) and shared truffle fries ($10) and the sticky date pudding ($10). So much love for this place knowing that there's hardly anything that will disappoint! Fantastic stuff with great service and a bustling energy that doesn't get too noisy or intrusive.
Ordered scrambled eggs on toast, smashed avo, salmon confit and shared a humongous bowl of truffle fries (with the most amazing dip). Food and drinks were absolutely delicious and the wonderful atmosphere makes this a perfect brunch spot!! Dying to come back for more!
Decadent, rich and sinful truffle Mac n cheese right here! Like the title says, sin to win cause this dish was so worth it!
Followed the recommendations and tried this Mexican chicken salad (I think it was $14.90 before 10% service charge). It was so banging! Seasoning and spices gave the dish depth of flavour and the guacamole was so on point! Dying to come back for more!
Delightful combination of light & fluffy pancakes, airy clotted cream, maple syrup and fresh berries!! Only puzzling thing was the berry sorbet that was part sour and the other part confusing. Would have preferred vanilla bean! Altogether still a delightful brunch!
I'm putting it out there right now, YOU NEED TO COME HERE FOR THEIR UNAGI BENEDICT ($23++). But otherwise, our kurobuta "pork cheek" ragout (???) ($19++) was quite mehhh... Best thing about the dish was the fungus so like basically nothing much. DON'T let that deter you from the real deal tho aka the unagi Benedict. A fantastic fusion dish that combines fried mantou with that umami from the unagi and a whole dollop of an amazing yuzu hollandaise. Every mouthful was an ooh and ahh!
