Don’t think I’ve ever had a Baked Macadamia Tart! @dripsbakerycafe does an exceptional rendition with these massive globes of whole Macadamias and a baked Frangipane filling.
Also, always been a fan of their Baked Cherry Brandy Tart. Just the right amount of sweet, tang and juicy from the cherries.

Mouthfeel isn’t as rich as your usual full cream milk, but we loved the muted sweetness and slight bitter aftertaste.

Velvety texture, generous with their ginkgo nuts, enjoyed the extra touch of fragrance from their addition of osmanthus flowers.
My love for Yam Paste is abundant. This one from SHAO was just a tad too sweet for me, but I would order it again as a sweet end to my SHAO teochew meal.

Generous medley of berries including some juicy korean strawberries (seasonal I think), tangy raspberries, blackberry and glazed blueberries sit atop a luscious bed of vanilla pastry cream and a short crust tart shell. Delicately delectable. Best enjoyed with a hot pot of tea of your choosing and some chatter with your best buddies.
Although seating arrangements were a tad too squeezy to my liking, they definitely did comply with the safe distancing measure of 1-meter between each table. Scorching sun afternoons are best spent here!

Grannies making and packing my favouritest Banana Pie, ever. I doubt I’ve had anything with banana that’s ever come close to tasting this good.
Generous filling of chunky sweet bananas encased in a salty shortcrust pie shell, the outer edges of the pie lined with a thin crimped layer of puff pastry, topped off with dessicated coconut and chopped peanuts before it’s baked to a golden brown finish in the oven.
The irresistible buttery smells wafting through Katong Shopping Centre’s basement will lead you straight to them!

I’m an avid fan of Orh Nee and although this slice of cake carried a fluffy light texture; a distinctive difference from the usual sticky heavy dessert, it didn’t disappoint.
Light vanilla sponge with fragrant Pandan Yam paste, chunks of yam, mousse-like textured coconut chantilly and crunchy whites chocolate pearls. I’ll actually come back just for the cake. Coffee was great too!

Mild earthyness combined with a sweet creamy texture yet without the usual petroleum taste you typically get from synthetic truffle oil. Studded with specks of real truffle bits, this is one indulgent treat.

Though it was challenging having to select only a couple of mini entremets from Nesuto's entire showcase, their version of a BlackForest was the best tasting one from our loot.
Chocolate Marquise Sponge, 64% Valrhona Dark Chocolate Mousse, Vanilla Namelaka, Kirsh Cherry and Morello Cherry Compote. Four varying textures coming together harmoniously.
Pair this with their Peach Oolong tea [9bucks/pot] for a great afternoon treat.
