Hearty lunches
$8.50++ weekday set lunch which includes the main course, 3 spring rolls and a drink. Great for a fuss-free weekday lunch as the service was quick and efficient. Pad Thai was towards the sweeter side but the fried spring rolls were crunchy, and juicy on the inside. Not the greatest Pad Thai but was nonetheless an enjoyable wallet-friendly meal.
Crazy good risotto cooked al dente with infused distinctive crab flavours topped with fresh juicy prawns! It was so rich and creamy and things got even better after I mixed in the shredded cheese 😍 One of the best risottos I've eaten in SG priced at $22!
Great dish as a whole! Loved the grilled caramelized onions with pesto jam and yummy brown sauce! But sadly!! My lamb was too overcooked ):
Pork Belly Curry Omurice $17 was pretty alright! Egg wrapped over tomato rice soaked in fragrant japanese curry and assorted vegetables. The omelette was actually quite fluffy but the pork belly was abit tough or overcooked. Did not enjoy the Unagi Toji though. It was too wet and the egg layer was way too thin. But!! Unagi was really delicious with a crispy charred bottom! I don't think it is worth $16 though 😅
The key to great Paella is the rice! Here, the rice was tender and al dente but it lacked the caramelized crust at the bottom of the paella pan which I loooveee.. The rice could do with lesser tomato/ketchup. Nonetheless, the seafood were all fresh and juicy! A satifying dish for $12.90 (includes a drink and soup!)
Freshly made Vegetarian thin crust pizza from Original sin. Interesting ingredients such as broccocini, sundried tomatoes and hummus. I was a little disappointed with the taste, the sundried tomatoes was too over-powering and I couldn't taste the hummus at all.
Beautiful crust, fresh toppings! Yum!
$18.90++ per portion with 2 large prawns. It was difficult to peel perhaps due to long cooking time but still tasted juicy and fresh. However I felt that the rice was too wet and not fragrant enough, other than that all ingredients are fresh and well-cooked. I still like one at Turf City more!
After having the lobster roll at Dancing crab I still craved for more lobsters so decided to try the one here. Like their maguro burger, it had too much mayonnaise but the tobiko added a little more flavor. The bun was also different from the one at dancing crab, this was a hot dog bun but nonetheless buttered and well toasted.
I love tartares but this one was spot on! The combination of fresh crab and tuna gave unique mix of flavor and topped with juicy and sweet salmon roes and creme fraiche. It was also drizzled with tangy citrus jus. Fireworks in my mouth
Doneness was perfect but a little under-seasoned for me. Other than that, the cut was tender and juicy and the shallots made the steak extra tasty.
Must try!
