japanese food!
One word - TRUFFLELICIOUS.
Got to try this during my second visit, as it wasn't available previously. This is the only dry ramen option available, and I added their marinated ramen egg ($2) to complete the meal. The thinly sliced pork was tender and it was marinated over 4 hours!
Every mouthful was richly truffle-flavoured and I was on cloud nine! I usually cannot finish their ramen, but I couldn't resist not completing this bowl of truffle goodness!
GRRR. But anyway, I was elated when I saw Barachirashi Spicy Ramen ($16.90), because this is an ingenious idea to break away from the usual Don option. YAY, because I always prefer noodles to rice. The lunch set also includes an appetizer, soup and iced green tea.
Donāt worry about the word āspicyā, because the level of spiciness is really mild.
The chewy and QQ ramen was doused with chunks of Maguro, Salmon and Hamachi marinated in their homemade sauce and then sprinkled with ikura, sesame and seaweed. TAKE MY MONEY.

Seems like an underrated place without much crowd, but they serve really great sushi and Japanese fare at an affordable price.
This foie gras sushi was torched to perfection and it won me over!
Thank you to my lovely colleagues for this belated birthday treat!
Decided to use entertainer app before it expires for the year, and I quite like the quiet ambience here.
Happily eating till I found a tiny fish bone, followed by fish scale on another sashimi slice. THIS IS TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.
Phobia and gotta eat at an extremely cautious speed instead of enjoying my bowl of happiness peacefully.
Lightly torched with both seared and raw texture, the salmon slices were generously covered with luscious mentaiko sauce which melt in your mouth perfectly. The tantalizing treat will definitely please your tastebud!
The pan-seared salmon was layered with a crispy surface and the Mentaiko sauce elevated the palate of the dish.
At such a price, I am pretty sure that you will never get a similar quality elsewhere!

Established in Malaysia with many outlets located in heartland areas, Sushi Mentai has come to Singapore, yay!
They also developed their in-house invention of Mentai sauce to vivify the distinctiveness of Mentaiko flavour!
Featuring the Tamago Mentai ($1.50) - served with a thick slap of egg and torched Mentaiko. The savoury and creamy sauce was accompanied with a rich Mentaiko flavour, with absolute freshness and spouting with umami.

The only thing I always love about Japanese Buffet is free flow sashimi - particularly salmon and swordfish.
Not every places offer swordfish sashimi, and you can order via iPad and they will deliver to you. Sit like a boss and enjoy feasting without the need to walk over to buffet line or wave frantically for staff's attention to take your order.
At a price of only $37 for weekday dinner, the deal just gets sweeter with Entertainer App 1-for-1!
The 12-hour Sous-vide cooked Wagyu Rump (marbling score 8) was easily one of the best that I have ever tasted with the rich truffle taste erupting in my mouth. The medium rare Wagyu beef was incredibly tender with a light crisp on the exterior.
Remember to commit some eggporn on their 63 degreeC egg and mixed well with their Furikake mixed rice and condiments for a well-rounded experience.

Seasoned with their speciality shoyu sauce, you can get to enjoy plump and fresh scallops and thick chunks of sashimi.
Indeed a bowl of happiness with sashimi combined together in a vibrant chorus!
You can consider the Ultimate Original Curry Rice ($19.90) - whopping portion of fish katsu, sumibi beef, Tonkatsu, chicken katsu, potato croquetto and a half-boiled egg.
On top of all these, you get a HUGE bowl of rice and a bowl of curry sauce served separately. Portion size should be able to serve at least 3 pax š
The curry had an overly powdered aftertaste and my favourite was the sumibi beef. Oh my, the Sumibi beef was juicy and mouthwashing with a charred aftertaste!
Have a great weekend everyone!
Thank you Washoku Goen for the hosted meal.

The layers of meat were stacked up like a mountain atop of rice, certainly a great choice for carnivore lovers.
Overall, marination was relatively weak and the steak was overcooked.
but for this price and it can probably feed 4 people, it's a steal!
Thanks Washoku GOEN for the hosted meal.
