Fine Dine
Get this as part of the pretty amazing IndoChine Platter, or order it on its own. Lychee with kurobuta pork loin and bacon - pretty, and interesting flavours.
We had to wait three long weeks before finally getting a reservation for Kinki’s Saturday “Bottomless Brunch”. It truly was bottomless - most other sushi buffets we’ve been to had put a limit on the sashimi we were allowed to order but here it was endless. We were given generous portions of some of the best fish, including amaebi, and were satisfied with the variety of options they provided. I would recommended the hotate sashimi, sake aburi, hot dynamite maki & wagyu foie gras donburi. Would highly recommend for special occasions!
The finely-sliced Wagyu beef, cooked in a tasty teriyaki sauce, and those big, creamy chunks of foie gras made this rice bowl a hit with all of us.
I had actually ordered a few portions of it to share amongst my group as I had selected many other dishes as well. But more than half of them said they would return to have a whole bowl of it to themselves. I couldn’t agree more.
This restaurant's combination of a snazzy ambience, attentive service and refined food is bound to knock your date's socks off. Go for the tender and smokily charred Grilled Octopus with Smoked Peppers, Eggplant and Black Olives ($45), but if you're not a fan of seafood, the luxuriously creamy Tagliolini with Scampi & Avruga Caviar ($38) will do just fine.

This Oriental Bolognaise ($20) wowed us with its twist 👍🏻
🍝
Crispy Gyoza with Truffle Soy Vinaigrette ($16) not only whet our appetite with its alluring aroma but also with its fabulous yumminess 😍 Totally fell in love with the vinaigrette 😘
🍄
Hong Shao Short Ribs ($38) braised in Sichuan style with steamed spicy & sour potato noodle, baby bak choy & roasted bell pepper. A good recommendation by the staff but it lost the limelight to its neighbor - the tenderly soft Wagyu Striploin 😂
🥩
Fried Calamari with Yuzu Tartar Sauce ($19) was the usual starter but I found it slightly rubbery hard 😅
🦑
Charcoal Grilled Pork Bits ($15) served with marinated green chilli, fried japanese purple sweet potato, homemade crispy rice & drizzled with cumin spice dust. Quite an enjoyable appetizer to chew on with cocktails while waiting for the mains 😋
🐷
Blue mussels cooked in Sichuan spicy & sour nage served with Chinese yam noodle succeeded in conquering & numbing our tongues 👅 Though a rather strong dish but I kinda enjoyed the shiokness & the fresh plump mussels. Indeed live up to its name - Sweating Mussels ($29)

If tongue numbing Sichuan-style dishes are up your date's alley, this fusion spot along Amoy Street should do the trick. Burpple community favourites include the super addictive Charcoal Grilled Pork Bits ($15), a deliciously unconventional sourish-creamy Forbidden Risotto ($35) and the Spicy Oriental Bolognaise ($22) – think zha jiang mian, but with angel hair pasta.

This is a dish I wouldn't normally gravitate towards but thanks to their lunch sets, I got to try it and it was delicious. The cured prawns were fresh and unexpectedly a great match with the banana slices
WAYGU TARTARE at SGD 26.5 with black truffle, cheese, quail yoke and crostini. The beef was cooling raw, chunky and superbly tasty! 😻 Ate it with loves.

It is hard to come by Mille feuille in this part of the world (unlike France ahhh~) and even harder to come by a GOOD Mille feuille, but Henri's has got the components right - crispy puff pastry, fresh strawberries, a luscious but light layer of cream, and vanilla ice cream for that extra punch. Though a bit pricey at S$20+, you'd still walk away satisfied.
It comes with a drink, appetizer, main course and dessert. The ambience here is really nice, very relax and chilling. I would love to come back again when I don't have to rush through a meal.
The better dishes were the starters. Enjoyed the seared scallops. #burpple
The serving portion was generous. At least a good 6 chunks of pan fried foie gras. Tiny bits of cranberry. Wished it's a bit more balanced.
