My dessert of kokutou pafe. My favorite choice at Ootoya. Layers of berries, cream, castella cake, banana and espresso.
The BBQ buffet here might well be the most affordable buffet around. At only $14.90++ for lunch on weekdays and $24.90++ for dinner, K.COOK makes a great place for dining in groups and eating till you drop without burning a hole in your pocket. The meats are well-marinated and come in a good variety. With great value and a good selection, they're really bringing in the crowds - so be prepared to queue!
Tamago pudding. Tastes similar to the caramel pudding I had from Paris Baguette. It has a thin film of caramel on top.
Beef and peanut butter sounds like a pretty queer combination, but I've had burgers where it miraculously works (I'm talking about @meatpackingdistrictsg) - this one unfortunately just didn't do it for me. 😕
Featuring individual pots (or a pot for 4 to share) and a brisk lunch service, they serve only 'au natural' ingredients though you can help yourself to MSG if truly desired.
Set meals (comes with veg platter) are $5.80-$16.30, and a la carte dishes $2.90-$13.30. Portions are quite good, and so is ventilation. I enjoyed the Mushroom and Fish broths!
