Had their buttermilk waffles before and thought it was pretty good. This was a bit of a let down though. The chocolate taste only comes as an aftertaste and doesn't really taste like valrhona. You don't really taste the rum in the bananas as well...
One of the best homemade salted caramel sauces I've ever had is liberally drizzled over crisp, light egg white waffles with a scoop of milky vanilla ice cream.
Deconstructed lemon tart with a broken pastry shell, zingy lemon curd, crispy shallots and an onion ice cream that was brow-raising first from scepticism then from unexpected pleasure. I liked the lemon tart and I liked the onion ice cream, but not necessarily together.
Smooth & creamy & buttery, the potato purée is worth your calories count. The finely chopped chives then gently spice up the mixture, gel up all the yummy notes without cloying. $18 for a regular or top up an additional $8 if u swop those French fries served in the mains for purée.
$30 per pax for a tiered set of sweets and savouries and scones is a steal when you've got a marvelous 360 degree view of Singapore to go with it. The food, right down to the fruit jellies, was absolutely delicious too.
Their desserts are all distinctive in their designs and tasted superb. Just going there for desserts is more than enough!
Peanut butter does the trick all the time :)
If I could wake up to something sweet, it'd be this thick block of honeyed pain de mie with toasty surfaces and crisp edges, topped with yoghurt ice cream and fresh berries. Sooooooo goooooood.
