Known as one of the best places for Teochew porridge, this popular supper spot is sure to spoil you with their variety of food. Although it's not the cheapest supper place at almost $15-20 a head, it's worth the comfort and satisfaction late at night.
There's almost nothing better than a hot, sticky bowl of porridge to comfort your belly late at night. Eating at Ah Chiang's gives you the option of ordering side dishes such as fresh sliced raw fish, extra century eggs, raw eggs, and best of all, extra you tiao! Perfect for simple burger and fries, or the classic maggi goreng pattaya, Spize is your all-purpose, crowd-pleasing supper spot. If you're feeling famished and adventurous, try the Mama Mia Murtabak! Tip: order a serving of fries to share, along with a small bowl of fish curry to dip into.
Serving less common supper fare, this humble 20 year old Geylang favourite specializes in Taiwan snacks like mee sua, tau huay and you tiao. Burppler Anna Chan says "Small portion but nice n worth it!"
Be prepared to wait at Song Kee for your super bouncy fishballs and crazy fragrant her giao (fish dumplings), because according to Dixon Chan, it's "The best fishball mee pok in SG". Greedykat Scruffs agrees, describing the noodles here as "local fare that is so satisfying :9 they're generous too, with 6 balls a bowl for $3.50!"
