Beef hor fun - Thick and luscious, the gravy had the subtle aroma of five-spice, and an intense punch of beefy flavour.

Signature dish. I'm never blown away by Ipoh hor fun and that truth endures. This is not your usual hawker Ipoh hor fun but remains unspectacular.
Been around for decades serving what they do best - Hor Fun (White Flat Rice Noodles). A comfort dish originated from Malaysia, State of Ipoh. Various styles are available, comes serving with Chicken/Prawns/Mushrooms/Dumpling etc... The gravy is usually quite bland. This is even the case in Ipoh. The magic is in the smoothness of the rice noodles. Yumminess 3/5
The workers conversing in Cantonese makes the place feel authentic. The food didn't disappoint as well, it's probably one of the better ipoh horfuns that I've had in sg. Reasonably priced too!
if not for helping a friend's project assignment, i probably won't get to hear about a pioneer generation Lee Tong Kee that humbly served us their bowls of ipoh hor fun for the past 4 decades on our sunny shore. suffice to say if the many stalls in singapore that serve ipoh hor fun has localized their flavours to suit our savoury tuned buds, perhaps LTK has us one step closer to what is authentic ipoh hor fun. soupy ipoh hor fun as their signature dish, hor fun is silky smooth and broth is a gentle thick and a comforting smooth from the cooking and the dash of prawn flavoured oil. while many will be quick to jump to conclusion that broth lacks a punch and move on with our busy life, today i found time to learn to be still, take in the flavors slowly and have a taste of history.
Possibly the best hor fun I've ever eaten... 65 years of history!
