Ok back to my plate! 😉 Got my usual stir-fried spinach for fibre, stir-fried eggs for protein, & mapo tofu (spicy tofu with minced meat) for some saucy indulgence! 💕 Together with grainy chewy brown rice, this sure made a filling meal! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

As much as I love my juicy chicken/pork bun, smoky-sweet char siew (honey BBQ pork) bao, sweet red bean bun & creamy-smooth lotus paste bun, I also love my Vegetable Bun! 🤩🤩🤩

I would coin this “soon kueh in a bao/pau”; don’t u agree! 😎 Flavourful turnip lightly seasoned with pepper retained its natural sweetness & slight crunch.. Goes really well with the earthy tones of dried mushrooms & crisp black fungus! 😋😋😋 Would have been better if it contained the aroma of dried shrimps but since this was a vegetarian option, I have no complaints! 👍🏻

Paired with soft fluffy bun that almost melts in your mouth without being too powdery in texture, this is best eaten hot! 🤤 Perfect for brekkie or a tea-break snack!
