If you following the food news closely, you should have read that one of the popular Japanese bakery in Singapore has shuttered and reopening with a new concept in collaboration with Kamome Bakery.
Kamome Bakery itself is also one of the popular Japanese bakery with 2 outlets on their own.
Offering some really good Japanese pastries such as their mascarpone red bean. Stuffed with cream and red bean inside in firm texture.
Their truffle salt butter also taste great with hint of truffle in every bites.
red bean paste with salted butter
mentaiko butter with mini baguette
Finally got to try and I loved it!! The fun-sized kid’s red bean butter ($2.30) was great, buns were soft and fluffy, the red bean isn’t too sweet and texture is great cos you get bits of red beans, and the butter that melds everything together like a comforting toast. The plain buns here were good too!
Wanted to try their Mascarpone Red Bean ($3.30) when I was novena outlet previously 👌 but they didn't sell it at there so I got missed it but they got sell kids red bean bun on all the outlet. Hmmm cream cheese bring saltiness out of the taste whereas red bean bring sweetness out of the taste. Sweet x Salt mood bought it out for perfect red bean bun. ✌
Got more bread from @kamome_bakery recently and I still enjoy how soft and fluffy their bread is, especially their sesame and original loaves. I liked the sesame one a bit more because the sesame is so fragrant that I don't have to eat it with anything else. I tried the mentaiko baguette too and it has a generous serving of Mentaiko. It was a bit too hard for me but I still enjoyed it. The red bean mascarpone is their signature but I gave it to my dad so I can't comment on it 😅 I liked the rusks which were crunchy with a mix of the buttery and sweet flavours too! 😋
