[CLOSED] JJ Thai Bistro (Katong Shopping Centre)

MUST ORDER - super huge and juicy!!!!! It’s not the typical fish cake Thai style - be warned, it’s not that orange kind. I was at first shocked and abit disappointed, but when I ate this, NO REGRETS because the fish is actually real!!!! Real fish in the fish cake!!!! Yummy

Green chicken curry, olive fried rice, garlic fried pork neck, PRAWN CAKE!!!!

Enjoyed the spicy taste of the tom yum soup for lunch. Decent portion. It wasnt crowded. Total was $10.60

Another solid Thai option in the East other than nangfa in bedok. Compared to nangfa, prices are similar (around $6-8 for most dishes) but it is a more comfortable environment (tables further apart) and no need to queue endlessly (for now...). Quite authentic with Thai service staff and Thai chef. At the end I almost said "nong! Geb tang!" Easy parking especially if you get the coveted street lots in the small lane next to katong shopping center. Follow their FB page for promotions or get entertainer app (applicable to most dishes on menu except fish).

First main and 50% off for second main for during September promotion. It's quite affordable for people who like Thai food. I also order bandung drink which is not that sweet.

Whenever I'm dining in a group at a Thai place, I'll always be tempted to order their steamed fish in that super shiok lime sauce. JJ Thai Bistro's version is quite shiok, punchy with a good kick of garlic and spices.

The seabass was fresh as well. In general you won't get any surprises in terms of the Thai food here, but it's affordable and good. Great choice for an air-conditioned meal that's good for groups too.
