What I love about this meal is that it comes a long with chicken/lamb (your preference) satay which serves as good meat/side dish 👍🏻
The rice itself did not have much flavour or wok hei. It's also chicken overload on the plate with chicken pieces, fried chicken wing and chicken satay. The wing was hot and crispy, everything else was just average.
This ayam penyet set at comes with a small bowl of soup and the CUTEST EVER single serving of tahu telor. You can upgrade to yellow rice or nasi lemak rice if you're feeling fancy.
The sambal is different from the usual ayam penyet chilli, it's more fresh tasting but still spicy. More importantly, the chicken is nicely battered and perfectly crisp.
This way, when grilled, the meat stays moist and tender. A good peanut sauce is thick enough to be scooped up, and coats the satay perfectly. It helps if the peanuts remain chunky to introduce a differing texture. Ok, that's all.

This may not be an authentic Indonesian Soto (We have too many kind of Soto by the way). I quite enjoyed the thick soup and the light thin bee hoon that blend quite well. However, the price is too expensive for the simple dish.
